Reviews & Community QA

philosophy skin renewal peel pads 12 ct & renewed hope moisturizer 4oz is rated 1.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful! Review is for the peel pads. The moisturizer is fine and deserves a 4/5. The peel pads are horrible. Most importantly, I had a bad reaction to the product. I am still red and itchy 4 days later. But I realize all skin is different, so the bad rating is only in part because of my reaction. The biggest reason this product is so terrible is the smell. I am not one to be offended by smells of products (it is chemicals we’re putting on our skin, after all) but this smells like nail polish remover mixed with something else even more foul. The only reason I put this on my skin after opening the package and smelling that awful smell is that the host raved about its benefits so much, and I thought it may fade away (it doesn’t). I don’t know who on earth could go to bed smelling like that, because even after I had to wash it off (the stinging and itching became too intense after about 5 mins) I could still smell it on my skin. This is a huge fail. Maybe I got a bad batch, but a woman doesn’t want to smell that awful, no matter what the benefit to her skin.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Smells bad I love the peel pads but the moisturizer has a smell, in fact all of philosophy has an underlying smell that you can actually taste. Very unpleasant. I'm sure it's a good product for some but not me, I can't get over the smell. I'd keep the pads put can't justify the cost of the moisturizer that stinks. Will be returning and going back to my Josie
