iRobot Roomba S9 plus 9550 WiFi Robot Vacuum w/Auto Disposal is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 567.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expensive for a 6 month vacuum 1st robot vacuum fan blades disintegrated after 6 mo. Roomba sent another robot ( I had to pay shipping on the return of the old one) that lasted for 2 weeks but kept getting lost. I called again and they sent another robot. This one looked looked like a new one, not rebuilt, and it lasted for 6 mo, the plastic fan disintegrated again. I contacted IRobot and they explained the warranty is only one year from date of purchase. Also you can't buy the plastic fans. For a robot that will only last 6 months, it is extremely expensive.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too much work for it to work. You need to keep lights on, so this thing can see. You need to pick up items that may keep it from working, ex. dog bed, water, food bowl, laundry basket etc. You nedd to rearrange furniture so it can move around, between etc.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from None of my 3 sS9+ Roomba have worked This highly touted device does not live up to its billing. It is undependable and constantly requires attention to free it from a myriad of problems that arise with it. After months of difficulty they sent me a replacement that was the clone of the first one. It didn't work either. They sent a third one with the same results. This device is frustrating and though it would be great if it worked, it cannot be depended upon to work. Owners of s9s need to become expert technicians and plan to devote many hours on a continuous basis in efforts to get it working and the ones I've had simply had too many things go wrong with them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not yet smart enough but getting close This is my second Roomba, the first from many years ago was hot garbage. The much newer S9 certainly improves and is far more usable in my situation but still has a ways ways to go. I am hopeful the hardware has what it needs to be even better with proper software updates. That said, so far, the software updates seem to have made things worse. As a very basic example, shortly after purchase on the initial firmware, it would take rough 1 hour to do one of my schedules. That same schedule after several updates takes 2+ hours and often gets so lost it runs out of battery before it can get back to the dock. Remapping has not made this any better. Now even a small 10x10 rooms can take 40+ minutes. At this point, I wish I could timebox a schedule since I try to set my schedules in a way to not impact my normal routines but because they run so long now sometimes I just need to send it home early. For some specific bad items: * Slow to clean * Bad at avoiding smaller items (socks, cables, etc.) * Too agressivly tries to get into tight spaces (Future feature update to adjust would be amazing) * Poor quality firmware updates Now for the good: * The mapping feature is one thing that drew me to buy another one. It's great! Being back to schedule specific rooms or have a specific room clean adhoc is great. I never tire of seeing it navigate (usually flawlessly) to a room on the far side of the house. * The other great thing is the base station with the larger bin, although it really needs to be a bag-less design. Either way, not having to empty the Roomba one or more times for a cleaning is great. * Support has been steller although I feel a factory reset should be a last resort as training can take a very long time * Having what seems like a constantly shedding dog, the Roomba does a great job managing the fur (primary reason I bought it)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I would buy it again for half the cost I'm glad I have it but I have to always clean wheels, empty bin never turns off, still have to empty bin on occasion, bags are too expensive. It is better than the 880 which doesnt clean by the edges. I think the s9+ is worth 500.00, not 1000.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth the expense More work than it is worth. It's always something. Dust bin won't empty. Stuck. Clogged. 50/50 it actually works when commanded. Not much of a time saver. Disappointed given the money. Would not recommend as any made up time is lost in irritation

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So loud it's unusable when anyone is home I got this and the first couple days were heaven (as I was previously a shark robot owner & didn't have a map or room features). I have quickly wondered if I wasted my money. After less than a month it became so loud we don't want it running when anyone is home. Its rubber rollers are cut and torn by my baby fine thin blonde hair. It can't handle that I have a mesh network and often can't find home. It's not smart though to go home when it needs to recharge so it's often stuck someplace in the house. It also damages its edge cleaner if you use it on carpet. Also don't expect any help from customer support -- It is clear from my map that ther vacuum cleaner has multiple bugs in its mapping program, but no one will even discuss. This is probably great if everyone leaves the home, you only have it clean 1 room each day, everyone has short hair, you don't have pets, you have no carpet and your house is small & doesn't need a mesh network. But for $1000 it needs to be able to support those things... and it can't. Disappointed... I work in QA and offered to help them improve product for free... they weren't interested...
