Q: What size windshield does the SolarGuard™ fit?

A: The SolarGuard comes in 2 sizes. The Standard version measures 61" W x 39" L and the XL version measures 70" W x 39" L when fully extended. It is designed for use on the outside of your windshield, blocking heat at the point of attack.

Q: What size SolarGuard should I buy for my vehicle?

A: The Standard Size will fit most vehicles. The XL size is recommended for larger vehicles such as minivans, full-size SUVs, and pickup trucks. The XL will not accommodate vehicles with oversized towing mirrors. Please see the Size Charts found on qvc.com for SolarGuard size recommendations by vehicle type.

Q: How do I install my SolarGuard?

A: Place the appropriate mirror cover over the passenger-side mirror. Unroll the SolarGuard as you walk around the front of your vehicle. The printed side with logo should be facing out. Pull the 2nd mirror cover over the driver-side mirror. Center the SolarGuard, smoothing it lightly to make sure it is flat against your windshield. You may need to adjust the positioning of the Fit-Fast straps along the rails to provide the most coverage. For additional information, please see the Product Insert and the How to Video on qvc.com.

Q: How do I know if I put the Mirror Cover on correctly?

A: Stretch over your sideview mirror with the large, rectangular side against the mirror.

Q: How do I adjust the SolarGuard to fit vehicles of different sizes?

A: The SolarGuard's improved FitFast strap system has sliding rails that can account for any height side-view mirror. Our patent-pending, neoprene backed design will accommodate mirror sizes of both older and newer vehicles, big and small.

Q: Can the SolarGuard be used on the back windshield of my vehicle?

A: The product is designed for use on the front windshield only.

Q: How do I protect from wind getting underneath my SolarGuard?

A: Always ensure a streamlined positioning of the straps between the mirror-covers and the rails. The SolarGuard should be taut and flat. This will prevent sudden gusts of wind from getting underneath your SolarGuard.

Q: What is the best way to clean my SolarGuard?

A: Spot clean with soap and cold water.

Q: Can I apply my SolarGuard to a wet windshield? What if there is rain already on it?

A: This should not affect the overall performance of your item.

Q: Can the SolarGuard be used to block frost, snow and ice in cold weather?

A: The SolarGuard is designed for warm weather use only. It will not protect your windshield from ice, snow, or frost.
