Q: Can I use my own loose leaf tea or tea bags?
A: You'll get richer flavor and a better brew using Takeya loose-leaf iced teas, which are specially blended and premeasured for our system. But yes, you can use any brand. We recommend using approximately 4–6 Tbsp of tea or 4–6 teabags with our 1-qt iced tea maker and 8–10 Tbsp of tea or 8–10 teabags with our 2-qt maker. These are suggestions only and results will vary with the brand/type of tea.

Q: Can I place Takeya products in the freezer?
A: Placing any Takeya product in the freezer may damage it.

Q: Can I microwave Takeya products?
A: Please do not use Takeya products in the microwave.

Q: How do I care for my Takeya product?
A: Here are a few important guidelines.

• Tea maker/pitcher: Hand washing is recommended to extend newness and longevity, but product is dishwasher safe.
• Tea or fruit infuser: Tap upside down in trash bin or garbage disposal to remove contents and rinse. Hand wash or soak with mild soap is recommended, but both infusers are dishwasher safe.
• Thermo Jacket: Rinse and air dry. You can also use a mild shampoo or machine wash cold on delicate cycle and air dry.
