Creating an A-List Abode with Catherine Zeta-Jones

Movie star Catherine Zeta-Jones doesn’t need an introduction, especially if you’ve been watching QVC lately. Back in October, the dark-haired, doe-eyed beauty launched her line of home décor. Turns out her talent is a family trait. “The importance of textures, colors, and fabric was instilled in me by my mother who was a seamstress and did all the interior draperies and upholstery in my childhood home.”

The star of Chicago, The Mask of Zorro, and Cocaine Godmother has always set her sights on expanding from the silver screen to the home scene. “Creating a home and lifestyle brand has always been a dream of mine. Beautiful, elegant, and affordable while never sacrificing luxury and style—that’s Casa Zeta-Jones.”

Home for the Holiday

What you may not know about Catherine: she’s passionate about decorating for Christmas. “For somebody who loves the holiday season as much as I do, it just seemed essential that I would do a holiday line for Casa Zeta-Jones. I’m telling you, it was so much fun to create. I would like to decorate all year round, so the holidays give me a great excuse.”

Catherine’s holiday offerings range from a stain-resistant snowflake table cloth with matching napkins to beaded snowflake ornaments. One item Catherine is especially looking forward to is her pre-lit faux tree. It’ll grace her entryway with its subtle flocking. According to Catherine, it assembles as easily as “Click, click, click, click!”

Quick set-up is important, especially when you consider the contest between Catherine and her mother, Patricia. “We actually have a competition—me here in the states and her in Britain—to see who gets decorations up first. And last year I won! But this year I’m going to beat her again because I have Casa Zeta-Jones to put on my tree and to decorate my home!”
