White.

Hot chocolate with homemade whipped cream.

Is your holiday style dressy or comfy? 

Comfy—PJs are always the best!

White lights (but my boys prefer colored lights—so when they’re home I defer to them!).

Egg nog or hot chocolate?

Egg nog—such a holiday treat, and I can have hot chocolate anytime!

Favorite holiday recipe?

Brussels sprouts with maple walnut vinaigrette from the Silver Palate Cookbook.

Is your holiday style dressy or comfy? 

I like to strike a balance. I like comfy, but if it doesn’t look elevated it doesn’t do the trick. 

Colored lights or white?

White lights. It looks sophisticated and makes the colors of the ornaments more surprising. 

When do you open presents?
I open presents on Christmas morning. We do everything we can to control our impulses to cheat, but it’s always best when you hold back because the payoff is worth it. 

Egg nog or hot chocolate?

I like them both a lot, but when pushed to decide I’m a hot chocolate guy.

Dressy.

Being Italian American, we always have stuffed mushrooms—yum!
