Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a Santoku knife as advertised I ordered two sets of JA Henkel knives where the larger knife was to be a Santoku knife and was pictured on the site with clear rivets or indents on the blade. The brochure that came with the knives also shows the Santoku knife with rivets or indents. But that is not what I got. My knife has nothing on the blade at all and looks more like the Chef’s Knife in the brochure. I paid a good deal for these Santoku knives and do not feel I got what was advertised. I contacted customer service and was told to return them. The replacements they shipped me are the exact same thing and not a Santoku knife. Second set going back again! Total waste of time and money!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME knives!!! BAD SHIPPING We have the Shun Knives which are great but also, are extremely expensive. I wanted something a bit smaller easier for me to handle. These knives are very nice and very sharp. I love the angle of the blade, not too thick, just right. I am really loving cutting with them!! the shipping was awful, QVC had to rush me a 2nd set because the first order is still in limbo somewhere :) THANKS Q!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Santoku ? Not a pro on knives but isn’t the larger knife a Santoku? It’s not a hollow-edged one, but the larger knife I received is the one the Chef uses in the video. He does call it a Santoku, only once he says “chef’s knife”. Also wasn’t able to balance the Santoku on my finger as the Chef did. Don’t know if that’s an issue. Love the way the knives cut, but still undecided on whether to keep them due to negative reviews.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Misleading There is no Santoku knife so I feel that this was misleading, I will be keeping them, but disappointed. Very slow shipping as well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not As Advertised When I ordered this set of knives I was aware that the Henckels “Gourmet” line is not their higher end quality of knives. However I ordered them because The Gourmet knives although not their top of the line are good knives and this was a good price as well as I especially wanted the Santoku knife. I was surprised to learn upon opening them that there was no Santoku knife but instead a chef’s knife which I already have in my Wustoff set. Therefore these knives are going back. Only giving a two star rating as product received was not what was advertised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice I tried one of the knives and it is very nice to use. I’ve decided to return them however, as I have other knives that work well also. It’s already packaged up for return to the Post Office.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Henckels 2 pc knife set I was disappointed when I opened my set of knives. I believe they are over priced for what you actually receive. While they carry the Henckels' name as part of its inscribed name, this must be a cheaper version intended for a certain market. First of all, these knives do not appear to be the quality or weight I was anticipating. They might be better than knives you can pick up at mid-range department stores but they certainly are not gourmet chef quality. Plus, I did not receive the santoku knife in my set. I received the prep knife and only a smooth blade chef knife in my QVC set. No santoku knife in my set. There is a photo brochure in the package and it is clear that I did not receive the santoku knife with indented blade as shown on tv or brochure. Due to the cost of returning to QVC for credit refund, I will be keeping these knives. They are not horrible knives but certainly not what was expected.
