First time in 35 years I have received anything broke in the mail from QVC. I gave it three stars because the fan is a two speed and worked and so did the lights if the handle was not broke, I would of gave you five stars. I ordered this light for a camping trip that’s coming up. I am glad I ordered early. When I open the box the handle was broke I n the bubble wrap.I had to send it back.

Dim light and not easy to open the lid
The light isn't at all as bright as I hoped it to be and the lid to access the battery compartment is tough to open I was actually was afraid I'd break the handle so I folded it back down and opened it with an aggressive twist. Good part is the fan works great and hangs nicely in my outdoor canopy.

Excitement turns to disappointment
I was so excited when this came in the mail yesterday. But then I had a really tough time opening the top cap where you put in the batteries. That was slightly frustrating. I just put in the D sized batteries and the fan works great, but the LED light will not turn on! I hate to go through the hassle of packaging it up and it did not come with the standard pre-printed returns label. I am not sure what I should do. I wish they would send me a new one and let me keep this one just for the fan. I am upset that it does not work and annoyed!

This got me through a week without power!
I ordered this as Hurricane Irma was heading toward FL as part of my hurricane prep. It arrived just in the nick of time, and proved to be a total lifesaver. I lost electric for a full week - a full week in 90+ degree heat and humidity. It was an awful experience overall, and this little fan provided some of the only relief I could find during that time. The light itself is very bright - my son joked we could signal a helicopter with it - and could basically light up a room enough to shower (cold showers!), etc. The fan has two speeds, and isn't very big but let me tell you - any air moving is better than no air moving. The batteries (it takes 2 "d" batteries that DO NOT come with it) do not last as long as it claims, but this is an invaluable thing to have if you live in an area where you lose power. I am ordering at least one more to have on hand, although I pray to God we don't see another hurricane like Irma again.
