Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage Doesn’t work right out of the box, been waitin days for a heater, an expensive one, and my room is still cold because of a bunk product

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Constant Buzz This is a beautiful heater, if it were not for two problems I would give it a great recommendation. #1 The read out for room temperature is completely inaccurate #2 Once the heater reaches the set temperature set point it goes into very low power mode where the heater puts out a very small amount of heat to keep up the room temperature, but the heater element makes a constant buzz which is very distracting. If you want a heater that is quiet, do not buy this one. Look at a different model, such as one that actually is silent when the room temp is reached such as the TVH500.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heats quick, exterior stays cool I love this heater! Safety is always a concern when it comes to space heaters. This vornado is so much more than just a space heater. My favorite thing about it is the fact that I don't have to worry about the kids bumping into it and getting burned because it does not get hot on the outside. Turing it on takes touching the power button. You can set the temp and the vornado immediately starts putting out heat. You can adjust how hard the heat blows out and it turns off with an 8 second cool down/count down. I use this in my bedroom and it cuts the chill in the air quickly. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best space heater ever! I am so impressed with this heater! It works quickly and quietly to warm a large room. I would definitely recommend the Vornado stainless steel heater. The remote control was a great convenience too. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This heats very quickly This little heater works great. It heats my living room quickly. I have used the taller oscillating heaters and I think this heater works better. It heats my whole room quicker. I love the stainless steel, it looks much nicer than the cheaper looking plastic ones. I like that it comes with a small remote too. My kids somehow changed the temp. Setting to Celsius and I couldn't figure out how to change it back to Fahrenheit but with a quick email to vornado they showed me how to change it back. I am happy with the heater and happy with the customer service from the company. Overall this is a great little heater that looks nice and works very well. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for small to midsize rooms. I use my VMH600 in my bedroom. It very quickly and consistently warms the entire room. The only downfall is that, even with the adjustable brightness, the displays are too bright for someone who prefers to sleep in complete darkness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeping Warm I love the heater as it is small and lightweight so it makes it easy to move from room to room. The stainless steel make it look more expensive and I would recommend it highly. It can go in any room you are in and you can set it to the temperature you want. When you are ready to shut it off you push the same button you did for on and it will tell you how many seconds it takes. Then it shuts off. Have tried at least three other heaters but different manufacturers and they did not stand up. This is made very well and I would recommend it highly and thin it is a wonderful product. A great feature is it has a remote control so you can actually turn it on or off if you are in bed. A winner [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice looking heater; needs a few tweeks! This product was provided to me for use and review. I am a mid-60 year old man, recently retired from a job as a company executive; this is my first - ever solicited review. The VMH600 Stainless Steel Heater is a very attractive product and appears to be very solidly constructed of quality materials. The unit was placed in the family room where I spend most of my time when in the house. After reading through all of the instructions and safety features and reviewing controls and operation I connected the unit to power, cycled through the control settings for familiarity and set the unit at 72 degrees and HI mode (I like to keep my house cool, generally around 68 or so). The very quiet fan came on, heated air began to circulate, and before long I started to get too warm. The room temperature displayed on the unit was showing 74 and the fan was running continuously in LO mode. I adjusted temperature down to 68, the fan stopped, room temperature display climbed to 79, then began to decline. When 71 was displayed as room temperature the fan kicked on in LO mode and remained on until I manually powered it off. Later I set the temperature at 66 for overnight but by morning the unit had gone into emergency shut down. After resetting the unit I have continued to have problems with its thermostatic operation - in 4 days of use the only time it shut down on its own was an emergency shutdown that occurred due to an unknown event.
