Vionic Terry Mule Slippers - Gemma is rated

I should have known better, Gemma!
Well, I just received these new slippers today and sorry to say, they must go back. I have happily worn Vionic "inserts" in my other shoes for many years now without any problem. The thing to think about is that with a vionic "insert", the shoe you put it in is firmly attached to your foot and a shoe is not open backed. With these slippers being a "clog" style and open backed, your foot slides back and forth within the slipper as you walk, therefore, the built-in molded arch support continually slides out of contact/position with the natural arch of your foot; there is nothing to keep you foot firmly planted over the arch support.
As to the quality of this slipper, I would simply say "meh"! The insole, though covered with the same terry cloth as the outside of the slipper, is unpadded and hard. Also, the entire slipper looks oddly huge and disproportionate to your foot and to what a slipper should look like. My husband says I look like a sasquatch with these on. These are not dainty at all!!! Sorry Vionic, this one is a loser.
