Vegtrug Herb Garden Planter with Shelf is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 70.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to install This item was easy to install and feared well in the summer weather, however, I would not advise leaving it out all winter as it is not heavy duty and will likely need to go in during the cold months. A bit overpriced for the quality, which is why I gave it 4 stars but I do like it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gardeners : This is ONLY for ANNUALS I'm 65 and have been a gardener my whole life. Very successfully. I never buy annuals because I feel it's a waste of money. What they don't tell you on air is that #1 when you water, the water runs out thru the wide slats immediately so you must soak the soil 3 times. The plants are beyond wilted after an am watering, and must be watered 3X during the day without wetting the leaves! #2 the company tells you to bring it inside the garage over winter or to a covered patio. If you have planted perennials, they will die if handled in this manner. Even left on a covered patio, with large wood slat openings the freeze will kill them as they have no insulation underneath like a planter would. #3 If you don't pre-drill your own holes, the extremely thin cheap pieces of wood will split when you lightly screw them together. #4 It's almost impossible to remove the plant roots that have grown into the fabric pouches - if you care about really cleaning them out at the end of the season. I bought 2 of these and they're very pretty, but ended up losing money by selling 1 and now am stuck with the other one unless I plant annuals or something I'm going to trash at the end of the season. PLEASE give accurate info. during on air presentations. I have already lifted out some perennials and put them in planters on my patio to over winter. How absolutely ridiculous.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So so Thought it was cheaply made and had difficulty assembling. Like others, the holes did not align. That said, it has produced nicely. Bumper crop of lettuce and now have jalapeño plants and herbs growing. Hopefully it will last another year but will be buying a better quality one going forward.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my VegTrug Herb Planter. :) This is one of my best garden purchases ever. The unit was very easy to put together. The cedar is beautiful and looks fantastic in my garden. My plants couldn't be happier. Within one month I had huge herbs growing and I was cooking up a storm. I'm already on my second Dill plant. I planted flowers in the back row and bigger herbs in planters surrounding the unit. I had so much Mint growing I had to have the neighbors over for Mojitos. LOL. I highly recommend this product and all Vegtrug products. They have never let me down. Just check out my photo. I'm buying another unit for myself and one for my sister for her birthday. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice planter My sister bought this planter and recommended it and I am not disappointed. I have been gardening for years and the height and compartment size is easy to use. I put a coat of exterior poly on it as the wood seems a little dry.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What a let down My husband had the hardest time putting it together. The holes didn't line up and instructions were no help. Material is cheap and two months after planting my herb garden the wooden pieces on the front began to fall off. I should have returned this item early on. What a cheap product and waste of money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice but really hard to put together Very hard to put together...we had to drill holes to attach the legs because the factory did not do this. Took a lot longer than expected to assemble. That being said, once completed, this is a nice product to use to plant herbs.
