Better than original?
I had a butter boat years ago. It was okay but the bottom of the inside boat was totally glazed, which didn’t allow the cool water to be absorbed by the porcelain. In this new one, the bottom is totally unglazed so it should work better. However, the handy line to mark the water level is way too high. When I set the inside boat in, water everywhere! Quite a bit short of the mark. We’ll see how and if it works.

When i saw the box i knew there was a problem. The box looked like a truck ran over the box. I was right, there were a lot of pieces. Back it went, hopefully i will get it before the holiday.

Butter Boat
I actually purchased this as a gift because I own it and absolutely love it. It is well made and attractive enough for any table. Who doesn't love the perfect spreadable butter for so many things? Makes making grilled cheese so much easier. Need I say more?

YAY! Finally I Have a Back-up!
I bought one of these many years ago here on QVC and wanted another for back-up, but they disappeared and I couldn't find them anywhere.
Finally, I saw it back on QVC and it's just as great as the original I bought years ago!
Keeps butter fresh and spreadable even in hot temps without spoiling.

I liked the concept but wasn't happy with the "keeps butter spreadable all year long" promise. The handle on the lid is small!

Perfect Butter Anytime!
QVC does it again!! I searched Dept stores for a butter boat with no luck. One day while watching Denim & Co show on the tv, I searched for a butter boat on the Q online. Boom!!! There it was! EXACTLY the kind of butter boat I wanted & the price was excellent! Not only did I get the Denim & Co items I wanted while watching the Q on tv , I also got my butter boat! I should have checked QVC first before going to Dept store!!!! Excellent Quality & Price! Thanks so much!

This is a great idea
I was very happy when I saw this butter dish listed. But, I was not as happy when I got it. The three pieces look as if they were not make by the same blue print. The top does not fit properly and the little butter holder does not fit properly into the
outer dish.
I am not going to return it because the concept is great and we use it everyday. This item should have been sold as " as is".
As I said this idea was great, but the making was not as great.

Have had mine for over 16 yrs.
I purchased one of these over 16 yrs ago. It works great, the only thing I had a problem with was the knob came unglued, no problem just used a bit of 5 min epoxy, that took care of the problem. Mine had the fruit pattern on it. I have been bugging Tara to partner with the people that design this to make it in Temp-tations pattern. Unfortunately, the butter bell type lets loose of the butter in the water when it gets hot, the butter is too soft.
