Rated 5 out of 5 by She'll Work Your Butt and Gut Off This might not be for everyone,,, she definitely will give u a good work out,, I myself really like her method and philosophy! Don't totally agree with her on no-more than 3lbs weights,, but thought I try to stick with it,, haven't worked out a lot in last 3 yrs. found amazing results,, love to golf and feeling strong swing golf club,,, lol,, If it's to much u can always stop play,, a little at a time is better than nothing at all!, just saying.... 03-01-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by Changed my life... As a mom of young kids, i was sad that I had lost my shape. I was still thin but no tone. And turning 40 didn't help matters. Frustrated with doing cardio on a consistent basis for years and never seeing results, I came across a small clip of Tracy doing one of her arm routines and really liked it. I started with her mat video and moved on to this series. It has literally changed my body more in 2 months/ 5x a week than years of going to the gym. Amazing! I think she is Tinkerbell even though she says she isn't (: 03-11-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by Another great DVD I bought this about a yr ago & never opened it. I had purchased the Metamorphosis & really didn't like Tracy's lack of cuing & poor editing of the workouts. I finally opened this a month ago & absolutely love it. It can be frustrating trying to see what Tracy is doing & figuring out her unconventional moves that work the smaller muscles. I like that she doesn't talk. She will give some instructions. I think she does this so you can turn down the volume & play your own music. I believe this workout is a little easier than her metamorphosis series, so it may be better to start here. I just started the Metamorphosis & it's really kicking my butt! The Mat Workout is another great introduction to Tracy. Once you get the hang of it, you will see results! Good luck! 03-08-13
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice DVD Series There is no cardio. Three half hour mat work sessions. The music is nice, definitely challenging. Unfortunately, I cannot give it 5 stars because Tracy offers very little direction. I would suggest watching once or twice before you try to work out with the DVD. 02-20-12

I have always worked out and have done everything including P90X, yoga, pilates, weights, a variety of cardio activities etc. While I love to mix it up and I think that is the solution to keep seeing changes in your body, Tracy's method has me saying, "Are You Kidding Me"? I watched the DVD's first and thought that hey there isn't that much to these...no problem, but after completing the first workout, I knew this was different. I was using muscles that I have NEVER targeted before and it is working those areas that I have never been able to tone (ie. top of inner thighs and inside glute area etc. I was huffing and puffing after it was all over with! Yes the moves are awkward at first and the arms section you just have to go with the flow and move it, but it is worth it. I don't care if it is repetitive, that is the whole point. Tracy is kicking my you know what and it's working!!! Will purchase her other DVDs. 01-31-12
Rated 4 out of 5 by Like the workout, however... First let me say I LOVE the Tracy Anderson Method. I have the mat workout and dance cardio. I think this was supposed to be a continuing workout series like Metamorphosis. If you don't want to purchase Metamorphosis this is a great challenging workout if you are familiar with Tracy's Method. Personally I would rather purchase Metamorphosis and add the mat workout or post pregnancy ( never had a baby but an amazing workout). 10-28-11
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not impressed I'm sorry but her workouts aren't for me. I am very athletic and workout all the time. Tracy's workouts are very boring and she gives no instruction from one move to another. She really needs to instruct her audience and make it more exciting otherwise you will get bored REAL QUICK! I really wanted to like it because I like her philosophy when it comes to toning but these dvd's are not great all. I can't imagine someone who doesn't workout often trying to keep with her. I will stick with p90x and Zumba. 09-13-11

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kind of a Miracle These workouts have really been a miracle for me. I've never been able to slim down and control my weight without strict dieting, and I've been doing this for three months and lost twenty pounds without feeling too deprived. I watch what I eat, but can allow myself a little leeway (chocolate :) every day, which I've really never been able to do. And, I even went a little crazy during the holidays and still continued to lose. I've been losing slowly but steadily for the past three months. The workouts are SERIOUSLY challenging, but as long as you work up to it, they're quite doable, even for someone as clumsy and uncoordinated as I am. I started quite out of shape and about forty pounds overweight, and just had to take them one day at a time, but within a few weeks, I was able to do the muscle work and forty minutes to an hour of cardio (without feeling like I wanted to die :). Aside from the weight loss, the major result for me is that I've never, even after working out with heavy weights for months and months, seen definition in my arms. Never! But, I can see muscles now, and what I call my mudflaps are starting to go away. And, I surprised myself the other day, because the heaviest weights you'll use are three pounds, but I plopped down and pumped out ten real (not on my knees) push-ups, something I've literally never been able to do in my whole life. Not EVER! So, if you are willing to put in the work and the time, you'll see the results - and I can't emphasize this enough - it's not the same as putting in tons of work with "traditional" workouts - I could (and have) run for hours and not lose a pound, and that's not the case with this workout. So, I highly recommend. It's a little time consuming, but if you make the time (I do have to get up super early to work it in, which I hate), you WILL see the results. 01-09-11
Rated 4 out of 5 by excellent workout The design series is a challenging and unique workout. I have been using TA system for three weeks, and am seeing very good results. I did not give this a 5 star review, because the instruction and cueing are very minimal. Also, the moves are not "mirrored", and become confusing when Tracy says to move "right", and to match her, you need to move "left". I purchased the matwork DVD as an introduction to her workout, which I would recommend, as there is more instruction on the movements. All in all, a very nicely done program. You will need to add the cardio workouts to supplement this program. 11-27-10
