Rated 1 out of 5 by from White isn't white... I was so excited to receive these white dishes - my plan was to have a nice, bright white place setting for my Thanksgiving and Christmas tables - something to accent the beautiful color of my table decorations and the beautiful color of the seasonal foods. I opened the package and couldn't believe my eyes ... they were not white - more like a dirty, dingy gray. I love QVC products, but these were terrible and very over priced. I found beautiful white melamine dinner plates at Kroger and Pier 1, excellent quality and bright white in color - both places sold the dinner plates for $2.99 each; salad plates sold for $1.99 each; coffee cups were $1.26; total for a 16 piece set was $25.00 ! I sent this set back and spent $25 at Pier 1 and brought my holiday dinner plate set home. Sorry QVC, you missed it on this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Years of abuse and looks like new I have had melamine plates just like these for 25 years of heavy usage. By that I mean constant use by my family of 6, bottom rack dishwasher, hot greasy foods, sharp cutting knives, dropped and just abused in every way possible and they look like the day I bought them. No scratches, no chips, no stains, no warping. Still shiny and true to color. I have shopped long and hard for more pieces that match that quality and I think I have finally found them at QVC. The new pieces just arrived and everyone loves them. They are thick and heavier than you would expect but that is why they are so wonderful. They still stack small. I wish QVC would carry more sizes and colors and serving pieces etc. Maybe they will. I ordered 1 set in Putty just to check them out. I am going to order 2 more sets in white and black so I can mix and match on the table top. Some people think they have the industrial look of dishes at a school cafeteria or hospital but I love them for their function and simplicity. Style can come from other items on the tabletop like tablecloths and flowers and candles etc. They are expensive but I take that as a sign of quality. Mercedes aren't cheap either.
