Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT COOKBOOK... I actually bought this because a friend of mine is diabetic. I was surprised that a lot of the recipes are gluten free, which I am, and that the recipes are easy to make. The book is also beautifully illustrated.

Packed full of healthy, tasty and fun food i look forward to making all the recipes. Appreciate the grown up lunchable and balanced bento box options. Am giving this book as gifts to my family and friends (diabetic, vegan, sodium mindful or no restrictions). Also have turned them on to the author's web page milkandhoney. Kudos to Mary Ellen Phipps.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like recipes without being diabetic I got this book for healthy eating options, and I am not diabetic or gluten intolerant or anything. I am trying to eat healthy after losing weight and many of these recipes will really help me out. I am not used to so much pasta/potatoes but book explains why they are useful for diabetics, which I understood. I liked learning to use nut flours and quinoa and other ingredients I would probably not have considered. I had to cut portions in half (!!!) but that was OK. I like having sodium and other nutritional information for each recipe. Pictures are good and actually inspiring to make the recipe :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not just for diabetics... I am NOT a diabetic. I purchased this book because I want to eat delicious, healthy recipes, and this cookbook did not disappoint. I purchased the Eat What You Love cookbooks in the past, but they are still sitting on my shelf because Marlene uses artificial sugar. These recipes use natural sugars like maple syrup, coconut sugars, extracts and nut butters to enhance flavors. Some of the recipes to tempt you include flourless chocolate pecan cookies, low sugar blueberry muffins, blueberry swirl cheesecake, banana protein pancakes, as well as meatless spinach lasagna and black bean and cauliflower tortilla soup. Thank you, Mary Ellen, for a job well done. This cookbook is exactly what I've been looking for.
