TP-Link AC1900 Wireless Dual-band GigabitRouter is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I had an Archer C7 and about 2 months ago I thought I'd upgrade to the C9. Now, no matter what I do, the 5Ghz side will not connect to the internet. My devices show the 5Ghz as "connected" but also show "no internet" The 2,4 side works well, but that's all that can be said. None of the tech sites have covered this issue so I remain lost. The C7 was flawless, I should have kept it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mostly solid - Periodically drops Has been (mostly) flawless having never requiring any attention (or reboot) for 18 months - Now the Admin web page won't load. Also, since the original installation, it periodically drops both 2 and 5ghz connections when moving between the C9 base station and RE750 repeater. The repeater extends the same SSID/ network. A wireless site survey helped optimize the wifi channels, antenna orientation and repeater placement. Since I have to reboot it to get back into the admin page I might as well update the firmware. Hopefully the latest firmware will address this "hand-off" issue or I will have to replace them both.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Router, hands down! Better than other big name routers! I first got this router to replace the one at my dad's before I had moved out. No issues ever! sure you sometimes have to reset it, but working in a tech related field, unlike a lot of the bad reviewers on here, who do not understand how internet works. If your internet modem drops, you lose connection, and therefore at some points you have to restart the router (sometimes) which is normal. Other things to consider is WiFi interference, and obstructions. WiFi comes down to a few things, how good your internet is (the service from the modem), The placement of the router, (Keep out in the open, keep in a central location, do not put inside of a cabinet, keep away from things such as cable boxes, wireless phones, baby monitors, etc, as well as glass, mirrors, or metal) You are buying and using a router, you need to know the basics, always read the manuals, Most of the time when I help people with choppy WiFi, going in and out etc, it's because of the things listed above, and due to the routers channel settings. for the 2.4Ghz I recommend changing the channel (only if having the issue) to 1, 6, or 11. when a router switches channels due to high interference it can happen often on any router, don't blame the router, or your internet provider. Try the 5Ghz network, and again if it's choppy change it's settings from auto to something else until you notice improvement. The 2Ghz network is usually slower and more unstable with any router, 5Ghz is usually faster and more stable but has a shorter range. (the farther away you are the slower wifi gets) Now, back to the review. This router works well, reaches everywhere I need it to be. and then some.... The one I put in at my dads has been running strong for over 3 years now? no issues. Changed the channels and such, to get the best performance at that location, but never anything big. always reliable. When I moved out on my own, I got this again for myself. 1year+ now. Changed settings yes, but worth the buy!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Experience - Does Not Meet Specs Very disappointed in this. Just bought a new DOCIS 3.1 cable modem and thought this would be a great wifi router upgrade from my 6 year old Apple express and allow me to maximize the 200 mbps download and 10 mbps upload measured at my modem. The best I could get out of this was about 35-40 mbps download and 2 mbps. This was placing my phone and computer within first about 30 feet and then 12 inches of the router antennas. My old Apple express was performing at about 60 to 80 mbps download and 10 mbps upload at 30 feet. I searched the TP-Link website for topics related to troubleshooting speed issues and found nothing specific that might help. Seems to me to be the most important feature of the product, yet it just provides generic guidance on things that affect speed. In my opinion this device should have specific troubleshooting tools like a speed test integrated to help figure out issues. After a few days of doing everything I could, I am sending this back. What a waste of my time!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Would Buy This Again This Is The Best Router I've Ever had, I have seen the Reviews from others Saying a lot of cons that are not factual in my case. If people New The inside/outside of tech and how to setup routers for optimal performance they most likely wouldn't be experiencing slow this and that. The only bottleneck would be lack of knowledge on setting this up for the best performance and the Internet Speeds/wires/modem that may be limiting your Internet in any way.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nothing but issues I have both a MAC and PC. As well as iphones and I have had nothing but problems since day one and they continue. It does not always connect and drop constantly. Does not work as far as it claims. Have trouble connecting at different places in the house.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I do not recommend this produc Since we purchased this it over 6 months ago we've had nothing but issues, even as I try to type this review it keeps kicking me offline. Does not work well with iphones, we have both a mac and PC and they have issues as well but not as much as the iphones. But when using another router we have no problems so clearly it's the unit.
