excellent skillet
This is my second Swiss Diamond purchase. I've enjoyed the 10" skillet for smaller portions and to scramble eggs. Very easy to clean and even distribution of heat. nothing is flaking off the surface and it is still non-stick. I've tried the 12.5" skillet twice now and I know I will enjoy it. It is the right size to fry bacon since is it wide enough for the strips to lay down flat. I also purchased this particular skillet because it had a lid. The lid allows you to close off to keep steam in or to open to let the steam out. It is a very heavy skillet. The one drawback is the lip extending from the pan opposite the handle. It is of the same material as the skillet, hence it is hot when you are cooking. Because of the weight, it would have been helpful to make this lip heat resistant so it would be like a second handle. The skillet is pricey but I believe it is worth it.

Love this pan!
I don't usually write reviews, but this pan has astonished me. I love cooking with it! My ultimate test was making my country style steak and gravy and it performed beautifully. The steak browned so evenly and the gravy was so smooth. Just use the medium setting as instructed and no problems at all. Cleans up beautifully and it was a breeze also. Pricey, yes, but I think it was worth it. I am going back for the smaller every day fry pan and will use this for bigger meals. This pan will hold a lot!

Best Pan Ever!
The Swiss Diamond Fry Pan performs like no other I have ever owned. I was tired of having to buy a new fry pan every few years after the nonstick coating scratched and wore away.This pan has a wonderfully performing nonstick surface without the nonstick coating. Although it is much more than I have ever paid for a pan, when I consider all the replacement pans I have purchased over the years, this pan turns out to be a bargain!
