Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great dog dish I purchased one for my daughter who just got a new lab puppy. They had looked at others at the stores and weren't happy that they all seemed flimsy and not very stable. Thought let's order it and see if it's any better. We were so happy with the base being solid on the bottom to keep that from moving all over when he eats. It will be perfect as he grows and they need to move to the highest level also. For all you that say it doesn't stay up you have to flip the top around so it sits on the supports for the tallest setting. After seeing it I then ordered one for my Cavalier. We had a different one, but I loved this so much that he now has one too. I did order the larger for my Cav just because the lower setting is perfect for him. I think the smaller one would have been to low. I won't be using it to store food in because that seems like more work then it's worth to always lift the top off. This is a perfect dish don't hesitate on buying it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT THE BEST FOR FOOD STORAGE " I purchased two of these items, one for my large 72 lb, standard poodle who stands about 6' tall on her hind legs, and another for my yorkie, since I know having raised dishes is better for them. I had hoped that they would also be good for food storage, but they are not. The bottom of the feeder will certainly hold a good amount of food, but there is no seal to keep food fresh or to keep bugs out. Within a few days of using it, I had insects making a beeline to the food storage area. My solution was to buy large 10 gallon zip lock bags and put them in the lower part of the feeder and seal the food up but it isn't convenient. I will be replacing these with higher quality feeding stations, even if they don't provide any storage. I will continue to put my food in large lock n lock containers for airtight and insect proof storage. "

Rated 5 out of 5 by from dog gone friendly My dog has joint issues and my vet suggested getting a lifted food dish so she would not have to lean down to eat (she won't lie down to eat) this works great and is easy to clean and take apart for travel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent.. I The best out there I have a small 13 lb dog and I have a 40 lb dog .I have one for each, they come in 2 different sizes, small and large, also , I read where a person on review that it would not stay up,( the upper top).(kept falling down) I had the same issues until I figured out that if you turn the top around, it holds up perfectly, just reverse the top part and you will learn which is the correct position to lock it in place, But they are great containers, I also like the 2 sizes, because my little Maltese eats a different food than my Shiba-Inu ,and I can put their individual foods in the bottom, it is very accommodating for my pets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far So good! I think this product is really helping my dog - he is a 50lb Border Collie who is 9, so this makes feeding and digesting much easier on him! I am a bit afraid to store food in the container, basically may come home to find it apart and him with a very full belly! It's sturdy, I love the stainless steel bowls for easy cleaning, and is easy to put together. I think I will try to store extra food in a bag in the container soon, just to see, but I don't think it would be an issue for any dog who isn't so food driven.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So glad I chose this model! I've been looking around for elevated/raised dishes for some time, but for a medium to larger size dog the raised dishes are either designed poorly or the prices seemed too high in the pet food stores. I then started searching on the web, including QVC, eBay and Amazon, among others. I looked at SEVERAL dozens of raised bowls - so many varieties and prices! I narrowed down my search to about 10-12 different models, including this model and the neater feeder on QVC, and this is the one my boyfriend chose hands down, and the price was very good/comparable to my other choices. I ordered it, and within several days I got the shipment quickly! When we received it, we couldn't have been more pleased with how it looked! It fit perfectly where we had his floor dishes without any added bulk or getting in anyone's walking path. The bowls are nice & big (2 qt each), so I fill it up with dry food about half way for our dog. He accepted his new dish platform very quickly and seemed to like it . In fact, I noticed there seems to be a whole lot LESS kibble mess on the floor with this elevated dish compared to when he used to eat out of his floor dish, which is another huge plus! And we all know that elevated dishes are better for a dog's disgestion. I haven't had to use the water bottle feature yet (you have to supply your own) or I haven't stored dry food or treats in it yet, but they are nice optional features to have anyway. Our dog is medium sized height & weight (60-65 lbs) but I can definitely see a larger dog eating out of these sized bowls quite comfortably too. If you have a much smaller dog, you may want to consider the Junior model sold on QVC too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Product Nipper and Tucker are medium size dogs (55 and 70 lbs). I bought the first OurPets feeder 7 years ago. Constant cleaning of the feeder over 7 years with the hard water here eventually caused water staining I couldn't get out. But, you have to admit, after 7 years of "free feeding two dogs, the product life was excellent. The new one came today, and as with the old one, it took a couple of minutes to properly fit catches on either side of the top to the bottom. But extended to it's maximum height, my dogs feed comfortably. This is one of the best quality products and price of any pet item I have ever used. Highly recommended to anyone. Oh! when initially ordered on June 25, I was told (on-line) the expected delivery date was July 8. It actually arrived July 2, but I wasn't able to take delivery until today. Excellent response to an online order.
