It becomes unusable!
Today is January 6, 2021. I bought an earlier incarnation of this, along with a jar opener. The can opener worked great for years, then, the closing part of little "bird beak" that pulls the top of the can away from the can itself stopped working, but it still opened the can itself, and IF I angled it just right, I could pull off the top with one part of the little bird beak part. The next time I used this, it didn't open the can at all! It's very frustrating as I'm sure it's now out of warranty. It was lovely for the times it worked however, but now, I'm just disappointed.

Works Well
I have this brand of can opener for years, it works well, leaves no sharp edges on the can, and will work on any type of can. I needed another one to keep in our camping trailer
