Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Attractive ! I have ordered 3 of these neck pieces over the past year ! Both in silver and gold. not only are they substantial, with nice shine, and meaningful, but they are SO reasonably priced ! I have one for myself, and have gifted 2 others. The silver and gold both look like 14kt to me. The link chain is comfortable on my skin and the rectangle medal " stays put ". Highly Recommend...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Scapular medal and very well made I purchased this with moderate hope that it would be a good fit. I had previously purchased another scapular medal and though it was small and unobtrusive, it was also completely illegible. This lovely scapular is both small and easy to wear daily, but it is COMPLETELY LEGIBLE - something hard to do when the medals are only 3/4" tall and 1/2" wide. Also, for those who are wondering, this is considered a Brown Scapular medal. (The title of "double sided religious necklace" is rather vague and misleading - "scapular medal" or "Brown Scapular medal" would be much more helpful.) A Brown Scapular medal has on each medal Our Lady of Mount Carmel on one side and the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the other side. It is worn with one medal in the front and the other on the back (think monk's habit or work apron). I don't think I can include a hyperlink in this review, but if you search "How to Use a Scapular" by the Catholic Company online, you can learn both the history, types, and use of scapulars. This is a very lovely scapular medal and I am very pleased with this purchase. I just wish that the description was better in order to prevent the confusion and subsequent disappointment seen in other reviews. This is a great medal and the best I have found.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as pictured This is not a layering chain. It has no clasp and has presents as a pullover chain. One side has one medal and the other lays out of sight on your back. I am completely confused by this. In addition the etchings are hard to make out. Lazer etched not embossed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Piece I was pleasantly surprised when I received this necklace. It is substantial but not overly so, neither in weight nor presence. The etchings are subtle & understated, which I prefer in wearing religious jewelry. Even though it's steel, the metal is bright & polished. It's elegant and perfect for everyday wear.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Picture is deceiving. I bought this thinking the medallions were layered on top of one another. They are actually, fixed on opposite ends of the chain. You can show only one medallion at a time by turning the chain 180'. It is slip over the head application. The etchings are small and rough, causing it to snag on to what ever knit or cloth you are wearing. The idea was great, however the final outcome to this design, as well as the finishing work misses the mark completely. If you are buying this just for yourself, for what the medallions represents it will be fine, otherwise, any one seeing the pedant will need a VERY close look. The pendants are a bit weighty, so they will not move around your neck easily, once you have one medallion displayed the other which is on the back of your neck will not slide to the front. Hope this helps with your decision to purchase.
