Too Salty
These were so salty that salt is all we could taste. Wish I had read the reviews before ordering. It had a couple of dumpling in the package and no pieces of chicken, just small giblets and strings of chicken. It was very thick not broth at all. We were surprised at how small the packages were. One package was broken open in shipping, I guess from tumbling around in the large cooler and there was a hand full of styrofoam that had broken off the cooler from the rough handling of UPS.

Needs more chicken
The flavor is great and the dumplings are really good. The ratio of chicken to dumplings is disappointing. Plus the chicken is cut up too small.

The dumplings in this soup are nothing but a thick heavy floury noodle they don't expand they are not fluffy they are not delicate they are not tender it's just a big old fat floury noodle with no flavor and terrible texture the chicken soup part may as well be campbells cream of chicken soup

No liquid & little chicken
I dearly love chicken & dumplings, so I thought these packs would be great for my family of one (me). And so easy; I don't like cooking for one. The first bag was very good (for one; sure not enough for 2) -- a goodly portion of both chicken & dumplings .
However, I have since 'cooked' them twice more and was disappointed both times. There was very little chicken in either bag and almost NO broth! Both times, I had a bowl of gummy dumplings & very little (bits & strings) of chicken!
I will continue to use the other 5 bags by adding broth & stewed chicken, but I certainly won't buy this product again. I hate that; this was so easy. I'll be going back to Cracker Barrel for my chicken & dumplings!

Tastes Great!
I received my 8 one-pound packages in a Styrofoam cooler with dry ice. All eight packages were still frozen. I prepared two of the packages for my husband and I for dinner last night. It was easy as pie. I am figuring the cost to be about eight dollars and some change per serving since I can eat one bag by myself if it’s the main course. I added pre-prepared corn bread for easy meal. One bag will completely fill a normal sized cereal bowl. If you had other items as part of your meal you could get away with 2 people consuming one bag. Or if it was a side dish then it would go further. We just prefer a bowl of chicken and dumplings as a meal. Our two bags so far had plenty of dumplings and small pieces of chicken. I like a lot of salt and was surprised that I did not have to add any at all, so if you are a salt free person then you will find this salty. My husband is such a person but did not complain at all and in fact, loved them. I am from the south and these taste exactly as they would if I made them myself. Except without all the hassle. I think it’s a great quick go to meal when you don’t want to spend time in the kitchen but want something good and filling. If the other six bags are as good as the first two, then I will continue to order. I don’t know what to say to the people who did not leave good reviews because I am very happy so far. Of course, there is a price you pay for convenience and if the product is good then I am happy to pay it. The price is less than I would pay if I ordered this as a meal at a restaurant. So I think it’s a win-win for me. The taste is great and the price is fair.

What a Disappointment
I was so looking forward to receiving this item. Upon receipt, I immediately put 3 packages of the dumplings on to cook for dinner. After cooking ( or heating) I opened the bags and put in a bowl. Out of the 3 bags there were 4 total dumplings. What a disappointment. Looks like the company needs a better process for packaging their product. These were too expensive not to get a great product.
