Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what an older gardener needs. Not getting any younger. Have been gardening since I was a kid. Consider myself a professional gardener now at this stage. Have close to 4 acres of land. Some rocky, some dry and hard and some with nice soft soil. Have perennial gardens all around. Do all the mowing, weeding and landscaping myself. Had a few old dead azaleas and some transplanting that I wanted to do. I use to be able to dig up anything when I was younger with my regular garden shovel not anymore. Saw this on sale on QVC , did not see this at Home Depot. Thought I would give it a try. Glad I did. It is not going to cut through hard dry soil or rocks like butter, you should of course wait till it gets a good soaking from rainstorms. Love this! making my gardening easy and enjoyable again. Much more maneuverable than a regular garden shovel. Now go dig up those lillies and hostas with ease!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I ordered one of these for my gardening daughter and one for myself. Why hasn't anyone thought of this before? I am 70 years old and cannot get a regular shovel in the ground without many tries. This one goes in perfect but the best part about it is I can remove items from my garden and it makes a small entry so as not to disturb the nearby plants. You will wonder how you got along without this, it is perfect!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from borrowed by everyone This has been a great purchase for me and all my fellow gardeners. I use it for any digging project. I ordered this one for my girl friend who borrows mine always. Now she will have her own and will be delighted!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My big “little” helper Love this shovel ! I am using it to slowly tackle a 50 plus year old strip of lilac trees. They are against a stone wall and sometimes intertwined. The shovel Is lightweight but mighty. I’m almost finished and so happy. Then I will use this shovel to also plant something new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fantastic item I bought one of these shovels two years ago, loved it, and I was 76 at the time. I dug small stumps, tree roots, and holes to plant flowers in... Cannot say enough about this product. This year, I purchased one for my son, now a homeowner, and he thinks it is great also. It is a great tool that I don't think you will be sorry you purchased it...…..

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just a shovel I thought it would work better than a shovel. It really didn’t work in my yard. I going to wait until it rains to see if it will work? I really like the shovel but time will tell soon. Waiting to send it back tooo expensive to keep if it doesn’t work on hard ground.
