Rated 1 out of 5 by from junk. I bought one of these last year and no matter how many times I adjusted it and followed the directions exactly I could NOT get the solar lights to light up. Don't waste your money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Just horrible! I received this product and waited well beyond 3 months to open it. When I did open it up so that I could put it together to my surprise I was missing 2 screws and 2 bolts. In addition to the missing pieces, all the wires were severed therefore leaving this product totally nonfunctional and of no use to me. I was very upset especially considering the money I paid for this product. Thank God it's no longer available!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great design, poor construction I bought this last season 2012, used it for 3 months (during our summer time season) first, right off the bat, the solar top broke off, still useable but had to repair it with duct tape, just to keep it in place. Looking at the wiring there were two wires exposed, yes the copper or metal was exposed and the tape they used to correct it just slipped right off, that too was repaired with duct tape! This year, 2013, took it out of storage, yes secure, weather protected storage and the water bladder that holds the umbrella in place had a leak, how could this happen? Purchased a different water type holder for this type of umbrella, works great but I had to invest another 75.00 to an already pricy umbrella. Then to add insult to injury, the cotton string type stuff they use for taking the umbrella up and down started to unravel, I think this umbrella was just a lemon or it was really bad craftsmanship Too bad, it really is a nice umbrella if it didn't have all these flaws.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed Bought this last summer and loved it, even though the lights never worked properly. Got it out from storage and opened it up. After opening and closing it twice one of the arms broke off. For the amount of money I really expected more than one season's use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save your money do not buy Bought this in Feb 2012 by time spring rolled around and we could use it was to late to return. Top solar light was broke from the get go never stayed secured on top, lights never all worked, slight breeze it would spin and tip the water baffle was not enought to keep it in place. Spent more time down then up and faded like it is 5 years old in just a few months ... so to the curb at the end of summer. First and last time to buy a patio umbrella in Feb from QVC .... can not return it when it is time to use and is useless. Waste of good money

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderfully Durable I have had this umbrella for 4 years now. It has faded very little and all mechanical parts are still working like new!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not that great I purchased this to give us some shade at our pool. It's not as sturdy as it appeared on TV. We did have a few gust that took it down. The mechanism that is used to tighten it in place doesn't keep it from swing around. It doesn't stay in place very well. I'm hoping we can rig it up another way this summer so it's not a total waste of money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Worth The Money was excited when QVC featured this. Bought it and had no problem receving on time but never got to use it all summer. The ballast (the water filled plastic anchor) had pin holes in it and wouldn't retain water. Sent ballast back for another, and water leaked in the seam. Customer service was ery nice and helpful and advised to try using 4- 12x12 stepping stones to anchor umbrella stand down. Tried it, and the first attempt we made to use the umbrella, the string that runs through it to control opening and closing and it broke. Called the company in April 2012, and they were very nice, and stated that they would reship another frame. They strung us along 1 month at a time by stating that the umbrellas were back ordered and would be in by the end of the month. I called every month to check status and each month was told the same thing. We finally received the frame on Dec 2012 rght before Christmas. For the money we paid for this umbrlla, the workmanship is cheap and one must be very gentle when opening anc closing it or it has a high propensity to break. This umbrella is not recommended for a single female to handle as it weighs over 70 pounds and is very bulky. I would not recommend to a friend. Although the customer service was very nice, the company policy is not customer friendly because they should have offered some type of discount off the original price we paid for the inconvenience of not being able to replace a faulty product within a reasonable amout of time. Will never buy this brand again.
