Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not my favorite item I ended up covered in snow. This thing just threw the snow straight ahead and right over the top back at me. I found it hard to use and not very effective. It didn't clear snow as well as expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazingly a Good product We bought this Snow Joe to help with clearing the Snow off of our Roof as we are Senior Citizens, and have a hard time shoveling the snow off our roof during the winter, especially if we have a bad winter such as this one. We live in North Idaho. This has been a lifesaver this winter

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Only good in dry powder I bought this hoping it would help since I have neck and back issues that make it nearly impossible to safely dig out with a regular shovel. Unfortunately I had issues. I get that this is an electric shovel and not a blower, but even slightly wet snow causes problems. Also, snow will get into the housing and stop you from pushing forward, which defeats the purpose, even in super light powder. If you have the time and patience to pause while clearing to figure out how to pop the back casing off without damage, clear the now-ice plate, replace, and hope the plastic won't bulge again, sure. I don't, and would have paid in my neck, back, and knee after 15 minutes of trying to shove this into snow when it started to collect snow in the back housing (which is how I knew when to stop but only cleared a few square feet). As for me, I am frustrated and would return if I were in the window.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for me I have to say I liked the weight of this and the smaller size, and it did have good power to blow the snow. But unfortunately it didn't really work the way I was hoping. If there was the slightest wind, all the snow did was blow 20 feet in the air and then landed on top of me and the space I just attempted to clear. Hope it works for others, just didn't work for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product for Smaller Snow Removal Jobs Arrived just in time for record setting snowfalls in IA. After living in a condo for 26 years and not worrying about snow removal, our new home has a short driveway, sidewalks and two decks that we are responsible for. The area is not big enough for a heavy full-size snow blower, so the Snow Joe is perfect for the job. It's fairly easy to operate, although one has to hold in a button and trigger at the same time to start (a challenge with gloves on) and then you must continue to squeeze the trigger while in operation. It's a sturdy machine and is easy to operate when plowing a straight path. Since you are unable to control the direction that the snow is thrown, it's best to operate it with the wind at your back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for deep stuff This is a great product if you only experience 2-3" of snow. It works great. But if you get more than that, and we do on a regular basis, it just won't do the job. Great product, but not where we live.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from amazing little shovel ! this shovel has amazing power for an electric shovel I was very impressed. I do find it a little heavy but you know what it beats going to the gym. Saves a lot of shoveling. If you use it on the ground and just push it you don't even feel the weight, but if you use it with heavy snowfalls where you have to start at the top and work your way down it's a little heavy, Trick is to go out and clean when you have 5 to 6" on the ground this way you won't need to lift it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Only if you want to wear snow. This might work on a straight sidewalk if the wind is the right direction. I have a 4 car driveway and it just rearranged the snow mostly onto me. I finally just used a shovel. I've returned it. It has been about a month and there has been no acknowledgment of receipt.
