Fun! I like the Slice. I used it right away to make some gifts. I don't wash the plate in between cuts. I just make sure to apply enough pressure and I'm good to go. I would suggest watching some youtube videos that show you how to align the blade to get the rounded pieces more symmetrical. They also show a lot of good project ideas there too. I'll keep mine! 07-10-10
Love it! I was hesitant to get this since I already have a Cricut Expression and love it. But, this works sooo well for when you just don't want to get the big machine out. I was blown away at how well it cut the intricut details in cardstock for the flourishes even on the smallest setting. Very well executed. I just purchased the embossing kit and cant wait to try it. Thank you for offering this product at such a great price. I used my birthday coupon to take advantage of the flex pay which made it even more affordable. Love it, love it, love it! 03-08-10
Disappointed I was so excited to receive. After 10 minutes, I knew I was sending back. It does not cut properly even after adjusting the blade. I thought there would be a wider variety of images. Very over-hyped demonstration.I find this outrageously expensive; for another $200 I going to get a Cricut. 12-16-09
great concept, bad execution I loved the slice when I first got it..until I started using it alot. It does not cut properly on alot of the curvy words or designs. It cuts well on very thin paper but on regular cardstock it does not cut completely through. I have wasted alot of paper to get 1 good cut. There are also alot of variables, if you don't put on enough adhesive the paper moves while cutting , if you apply too much pressure it also has a hard time cutting, if you don't apply enough pressure the machine moves and you don't get a good cut. I was so excited about this but the more I use it the more I get frustrated with it. 08-24-09
GREAT Little Machine This is really a neat little machine. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and thought that holding the Slice while it cut would bother my wrists. It is so easy to hold, very little pressure (doesn't bother my wrists at all) and the different shapes and sizes that are on the dies are great. I recommend this to anyone without any reservations what-so-ever. It is already on my Christmas list to purchase for my daughter that is an elementary school teacher. 07-05-09
First return I purchased this for my birthday when I finally got this item I was so excited. I turned the machine on and it was easy to figure out and how to get stared. When I went to cut a word (love) out the machine cut the word in half. I was able to cut a few pictures out but then after a while the machine would not cut anything. I tried to change the blade thinking that it was dull but it did not help. This is my first return to QVC and it is kind of sad I was so excited to purchase my first Die-cut machine. 07-03-09
LIVES UP TO MY EXPECTATIONS I have wanted something like this for a long time but couldn't afford a Cricket or similar. I bought this thru QVC instead of craft store becasue of the design card. I received this yesterday and took it out of the box and charged it immediately. As soon as it was done charging I was trying it out. It was easy to use and holding it in place was no hassle. My only gripe is that it does not come with the spatula needed to take the design off the mat. This is not QVC's fault it is Slice's fault. Anything that is truly essential to working this should be included in the starter kit in my mind. I will be buying mine today..... 06-24-09
LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! I just got my slice today. OMG it is so easy to use, I've been playing with it for a couple of hours. It's so much fun. I've done over a hundred cutouts and the blade is still going strong. Also haven't had to reapply the adhesive yet either. If you are thinking about this little machine, don't hesitate, I think you'll love it too! 06-15-09
You will Love it I bought this and it is so great!! Nice and portable. Just check around on the price. 06-12-09
I love it more each time I use it! I am so impressed with this little machine...clean cuts, durable blades, easy to use. The 12x12 mat is a must for better balancing the machine and for using every square inch of your paper. I get very inconsistent results with the adhesive. I use Herma Dotto repositional adhesive with great results. Other scrapping websites have other adhesive suggestions. 05-29-09
Key is the Directions! This is a good machine. I did forget to use the adhesive once and my paper was a crumpled mess......my fault. Following the directions gets a perfect cut every time. And I do not wash off the glass mat after each use. I wash it after a DAY of cutting, maybe 20 letters and designs. I do need to find out where to purchase more adhesive and design cards though. 05-28-09
Love It!! I have been wanting to purchase a Slice machine for a while, but was hesitant after reading some reviews on QVC. I am over joyed with my purchase. I will use it often. 05-21-09
