Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent on Tiles.. I suffer from allergies. My major complaint with Shark Rocket Vacuum series is that basic, pro and complete models don't have HEPA filter and cannot be called as truly anti-allergen. My complaint has been addressed in HV394Q model and it has a HEPA filter. The HV390 series seem to be different from HV380 series, in all aspects. The floor rollers are duoclean and in addition to that there is added cushion to clean the floors, called as active glide technology. Vacuuming sound is much quieter. Tools and accessories are very good and usable. Biggest Negative point: The dust bin is very small and the dust max fill seems to be about 0.2 quart. One has to clean the dust bin very frequently. It gives me an impression that this rocket vacuum cleaner cannot be used as the only one vacuum for a medium or large home. It can be used for a quick clean of a specific spot or a single room and also cleaning closets and windows.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Vacuum I’ve ever owned so far I love this vacuum! It was easy to assemble and easy to use. It locks into place so when your vacuuming it’s just like any other vacuum. To use the flex part you press a clip so easy, and then it bends the pole either to go under the tables or beds, etc..or to bend the top all the way over for storage. I had read some negative reviews about it being to short, glad I took the chance I’m 5’ 7” and it’s comfortable for me. If you are on the fence I would definitely recommend this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I purchased this as most of our floors are with hardwood or lenolium and we have 5 boys,3 dogs and 2 birds so things can get out of hand quickly most days and with a new baby coming, I needed something to get the job done without a broom just brushing stuff around. I absolutely love this, and the extra long attachment that gets under chairs, our fireplace and coffee table without me having to move furniture around!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Questionable value It is not meant to do deep cleaning. It doesn’t pick up well without going over places. Be careful not to run over the cord or it will shred it, very cheap cord. I had to tape with electrical tape. I have never owned a sweaper with such a flimsy cord.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from junk! I bought this because it plugs in - tired of batteries dying when vacuuming. It worked well at first but I have long-haired cats and the brush roll gets wrapped in hair very easily. In addition, the cats have a tendency to drop their dry food on the floor. This vacuum doesn't pick that up - it scatters it and grinds it down and leaves a mess on the floor. When it does pick up some of it the long tube gets clogged and I had to unravel a wire coat hanger to clear the clog. It's basically useless and now it's too late to send it back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great help I have used it only a week. I find it heavier than I expected, but it is doing a good job, no complaints.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as effective as an older model While it lasted the model with the motor on the floor level worked very well. It ran for one year. Now they don't manufacturer it anymore. This one won't pick up dog hair on carpet but will on hard flooring. The filter clogs up with every use requiring constant washing. The canister can't be filled or it clogs. It stops sucking and everything falls back out on the floor. You can't stand it up. It has to be folded which is a finger pinching pain. Literally. Shark had a good idea a couple of years ago. They should have continued improving on that model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love, love, LOVE this vacuum! I've been a devout Dyson user for years. I've noticed that their quality has started to decline. I spent over $600 on the last cordless stick vacuum less than 2 years ago (the Absolute), it won't keep a charge and of course I'm out of warranty. Being a pet sitter, I have the advantage of trying out many different brands of vacuums (and other products) when taking care of clients' homes. I have several clients that have a Shark, varying models. I noticed that the Shark has come a long way in quality over the past 10 years. I was really impressed with their corded stick vacuums. They never run out of battery, which is a major plus, and they clean amazingly well. As well, if not better, than the Dyson. So, not wanting to either invest more $ into the Dyson I currently own or dish out even more $ purchasing a new one only to have it breakdown in a year or so....and being sick of the battery dying before I even get halfway through cleaning, I decided to give Shark a try. I can't say enough good things about this little vacuum. It is compact, takes up very little storage space in the folded position, easy to use and it comes with many tools for ALL your cleaning needs. It does not stand up on it's own, unless folded, but it's easy to push the button and fold it down when I need to. I don't find that to be an inconvenience at all. I didn't realize when I purchased it that it even has a lighted head piece. I have to say, that's a pretty nice feature. Now that I have it, don't know how I lived without it. Really makes a difference in being able to see where I might have missed on the dark hardwood floors. We have 4 dogs, 4 cats AND 3 under 10 year old children. We use this vacuum every day, sometimes multiple times a day and it never disappoints. It's powerful and picks up litter with no problem, also picks up larger debris and the best part, the animal hair! It's easy to empty and the debris bin, although small, is large enough for me to vacuum the entire house without having to empty until I'm done. Goodbye, Dyson, we've found our new brand!
