Beautiful Luster but Delicate
Right out the box the silver are beautiful! Shortly afterwards one tipped over sitting on the floor and shocked me by snapping off the base. I was surprised these are hollow inside and seemed to have a substance inside resembling hardened foam to weight them down possibly. The middle height snapped at the base. It was a clean break so it can be reattached.

Sophisticated Elegance
I am very pleased with these candle holders. I got the brushed silver and they are very nicely done. Mine have no defects and I had no issue with the paint job on them, as other reviewers have had. The weight is substantial and I feel these are higher quality than what could be found at comparable home goods stores. I have these on my mantle and they are very elegant looking. I love the height of these because the tallest one is taller than most sets one would find and I think this is what makes them stand out from other pillar sets. I would love to see these in black or back again in the white, which I missed. If they were to come back in the white option, I would grab a set of six in a heartbeat so I could have a summertime display on my mantle.
Considering purchasing another set of three in the silver to have a complete six on my mantle.

Beautiful!!!
I bought two sets of the candleholders. They are simply gorgeous!!! I ordered them so that I could place my Luminara candles on them. Beautiful!!!

Absolutely Gorgeous!!!
I bought the set in gold. I've purchased other VPH items in the past and had to return them due to blemishes, dents, scratches etc. These candle holders are beautiful. They look great with the 3 1/2" flameless candles and candle rings.

Worth Every Penny!
I'm always unsure about purchasing VPH merchandise due to the less than stellar reviews most of the products receive, but I took a chance on these and I was surprised out how nice they were. Very good craftsmanship and nice and heavy. I am happy I purchased these to display my Luminara candles on!

great height and size
I ordered two of these sets in gold. Arrived today; they are like satin finish paint, not flat and not glossy. At last I have some tall candlesticks for the pillars I own. The only caveat here is that there are MINOR blemishes in the paint, a scrap on one, bubbles in the paint on another, occasional views of the undercoat (black) on more than one. That makes it sound much more negative than I feel. I think these blemishes are unlikely to be seen by people who aren't looking for a problem. And I will be very pleased to put my luminara candles on them--both this year's special value and the larger sets from last year. They will hold 3.5 inch candles comfortably, as well as this year's 3 inch ones. I'm thinking of where I could put the silver so that I can justify ordering them!
