Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7" 8GB Tablet is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 371.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Over 1.5 gb stolen by invisible misc. files Purchased in June, 2018. I love everything about this tablet but one, but this one is the deal killer: the system software (and bloatware) and miscellaneous files use up so much of the internal drive space I cannot install a modest amount of apps. I consistently am down to 500 mg. I had to delete Google Sheets, Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, Kindle and Audible, even after I moved what I could to an SD card. I do not want to use the browser instead of an app.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible if you're using it for apps I bought this thinking 8 gigs is fine if I can just add an SD card to it. But, because it's runs Lollipop and never got the marshamallow upgrade, the SD card is useless because Lollipop won't let you put apps on the SD card. If you want to actually use this tablet for things other than reading, you should find another tablet. I'm horrible disappointment with the tablet and disappointed that Samsung didn't release a marshmallow upgrade to this tablet when it was released just a couple months before marshmallow was released. I don't think I'll ever purchase another samsung device.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Little of Everything 8 gigs memory is a joke. I don't use a ton of apps but I'm down to 500 mb free. System memory uses over 3 gigs. I have added sd card, but hardly anything can be moved to it (photos can, but few apps). Half the time I have to unmount and remount the sd card because even though it sees it, it spontaneously decides it can't see anything *on* it. I am constantly clearing cache to free up more space. There are apps included that I never use and tried deleting, but then I got bombarded with errors (e.g., don't get rid of Google Play Store!!!). There are miscellaneous small files that I don't dare delete, but are using more space than I have free. The tablet occasionally freezes. It is slow but that's probably due to having no memory space for swapping. Camera has no flash and picture quality is mediocre. Zoom only goes to 2x, which is definitely not enough. Charging was fast at first but no longer. Battery life started out ok, but no longer. When plugged into electrical outlet adapter, the outlet adapter gets Very Hot (which I believe affected the battery, reducing its ability to hold a charge longer). Even though I only ever grip the micro usb charging cable by the usb end to remove it - i.e., I don't yank it out by the cable - I am on my 5th cable. I have owned this 1.5 years, so averaging every 3 months. Unacceptable. This technology would have been impressive 10 years ago, but it's totally inadequate by today's standards. So, what do I like about this tablet? I like the size. I like the brightness. I read a lot of books on it and it works great for that.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not enough storage ; OLD OLD OLD android Super old version of android means you can't use family features to control it. Very low storage plus a lot of forced samsung apps means you can't have very many games on it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great tablet!! Loads fast, which was one of my main concerns in purchasing a tablet, I also wanted a strong battery, which my Samsung has. My tablet met all the specifications i desired in a tablet. I researched tablets for about a week, all brands and models. The Samsung was my final choice and it has proved to be the correct choice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good while it lasts! This was a great tablet for a little over a year; no complaints. I bought a very good spongy, cushiony, thick green rubbery cover for it, and took really good care of it, never dropping it, taking special care when plugging it up to charge (doing it slowly and carefully), never leaving it with the screen exposed. Then one day, about 6 months after the warranty expired, I was using it, set it down with screen turned off, and when I picked it up just a few minutes later, I had in my hand a brick. No warning, dead as a doornail, never to show a spark of life again. I have an older Tab 4 that's still going strong and never given any problem. I wouldn't recommend the Tab A.
