Rated 2 out of 5 by from Surround sound won't stay connected paid good money for Samsung tv and this new sound bar. it wont stay connect with subwoofer when watching movies on 4k tv. trouble connecting to wifi updated software. WIFI connection fine in house have two in house so on separate one.

This is extremely disappointing and because we purchased from a store that only takes returns within 15 days we are stuck with them. Don't buy these

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great sound but Atmos doesn’t work I purchased this after hearing an incredible demo in a local store. I added a Samsung Q7 65” tv to compliment the sound bar. Problem is, ATMOS does not work (blue light won’t come on). I do not have an ATMOS blue ray, but managed to find a title online that was broadcast in ATMOS. Tried for an hour to make it work. After returning to the store was told that this unit was not built for streaming ATMOS, and it would only work with Atmos Blue Ray Players. Bummer. I don’t do disks anymore. So, the overall sound is pretty good,, so I MAY keep it, but as for Dolby ATMOS, this unit is a bust.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Powerful system- as long as you're not looking not looking for Atmos via HDMI Arc I should've thoroughly read the reviews regarding this system's inability to utilize Atmos via the HDMI Arc direct TV to soundbar connection. The only way to get Atmos is to use an external source such as an xbox, or dedicated bluray player. But I feel like the point of soundbars nowadays is to have a minimal system which was what I was aiming for. I don't plan on hooking up a separate bluray player. If you have an external player then this won't be an issue for you. The system sounds great even without Atmos and the subwoofer is very powerful. Sadly, I'll be returning this unit as there is no Atmos support via HDMI Arc. Samsung needs to listen and address this as this is a major complaint of most customers regarding the HWK850/950 series soundbars. The complaints are dragging the ratings down on this system even though it sounds great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DemoModel Great price on 2016 Demo model . So far very pleased. Great sound . Have not enjoyed Atmos yet. Working on it. Need Atmos content to demo. Soon. The 2016 floor models are selling at great prices. Far less then going rate for the 2017 new models. Whats the difference between 2016 model and 2017 ? Nothing as far as i know. Love it !

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing sound, amazing subwoofer, few annoying quirks I bought my HW-850 in December 2016. It's connected to my 55" Samsung curved television via bluetooth. Connecting the system was quick and easy, the sound quality immediately blew me away. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment about 800 sq ft and even at a low volume I can feel the subwoofer in other rooms and hear glass dishes rattle, I Love it! The annoyance is with streaming music via bluetooth from my iPad, iPhone or Samsung Galaxy. The subwoofer is connected to the sound bar via bluetooth and it's like the soundbar can't communicate with the subwoofer fast enough. The sound bar plays the music but the bass of the subwoofer sporadically gets behind then it all becomes very choppy. This only happens when streaming music from other devices. Also, when changing the sound mode, ie Music, Sports, Movie etc. you have to turn the surround sound back on each time you change the sound mode that's also annoying.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Made it less than a year I bought a Samsung sound bar. Thinking it's name brand so maybe it will last a few years. Sike!! My soundbar barely made it to 8 months old before I started ha being problems. It would begin to just randomly stop playing my music then start again. If I didn't use it for a few days it would be fine but then would do it again. It is definitely a manufacturer error because I don't allow food/drinks near my speaker and know it has 0 damage. I would definitely suggest going with a different speaker set

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Needs lot of improvements on Firmware and Phone App I bought HW-K850 Soundbar speaker in December 2016 along with Samsung SUHD TV. Here are my Problems: D.IN-> My Samsung TV remote can't control Sound bar volume when it is connected via D.IN. I have found D.IN is the only way you get consistent clarity on the sound bar, because Wifi / Bluetooth does not work fine always. Wifi-> Connecting TV and Sound bar with Wifi is possible but it does not always work fine. You need to restart the entire system to connect them once again via Wifi when it does not work. Bluetooth-> Connecting TV and Soundbar with Bluetooth is possible, but suddenly it gives white noise / wired noise sometimes. So we have to disconnect immediately. It would work again for sometime if we restart TV and soundbar completely. Connecting the bluetooth to your phone works but sometimes we have to disconnect and connect back to play songs on the soundbar. HDMI-> TV to Soundbar HDMI connection is not possible. The reverse way is possible but we can't control TV and other devices connected to TV with Soundbar Remote. Phone app-> iPhone app is one of the worse. They did improve it a little now compared to 5 months ago, but its still bad. It is not consistent. Overall I am not happy with the Samsung Sound bar.
