Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk Can’t get it to work for more than an hour. Waited too long to send it back. Ring customer service keeps directing me to the same useless videos and articles. Upgraded my router and internet speed and have a small house. Still doesn’t work. Got more expensive than it was supposed to be.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dissapointed Very dissapointed we were excited when we received the doorbell worked for awhile now it works one day and the next day it doesn't call Ring and the said our wifi wasn't strong enough we checked with our cable and they said it was ok our car was broken into and we thought we had the thrives on video and guess what it didn't work that day but worked the day before and the day after. We keep calling but no one has any answers for us will never buy another Ring product again........

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worked For A Short Time! This thing worked good for a short time. I bough one for the front door and this one for the garage door. I just wanted to know when packages were delivered to the garage. Well, it worked for a short time and then it started going off and on every few hours.....all during the day and night! I'd look at it and there would be nothing there! This happened over and over. My friend (who installed it) said it was just defective but I had Verizon come out and check the internet service. They informed me all was working fine. They said a few others have had problems with the Ring 2. I sent it back but I must have something on the garage door. I'm debating if I want to try it again. Just this week the front door one stopped working so now my friend will check that one out! This is getting stupid! I bought one for my daughter but she's waiting to see if I ever get mine to work!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work correctly We installed the Ring system and "hardwired" it to replace our regular doorbell. The issue we are having is it will notify us of someone going up or down our road but will NOT notify us of someone pulling in our driveway and walking up on our porch! We have checked the settings and have it set correctly- it should pick up someone about 9 feet away from the front door, and it shows signal strength is Good. I have several incidences where a UPS truck has pulled in our driveway, the driver got out and put something on our porch or in our driveway- one notification was as he was pulling away the other one-NO Notification at all! I have had friends come over and two vehicles were pulled in my driveway and the RING system never went off. At this point it is so beyond aggravating that I wouldn't advise anyone to get this system. It's not cheap price wise and I feel I have wasted my money.

Finally I was told that since my house was brick, iit would not work properly, unless I plugged it in closer to the doorbell. I had it plugged in appx. 8 ft away from the outdoor doorbell. They said I did not have it close enough. In order to plug it in any closer than 8 ft., I would have had to pay an electrician to come out and put in a new wall plug. Then I found out that after one month, I would have to pay a monthly fee in order to see the videos. That was news to me. I returned it and got my money back. The Ring people were very nice, and kept trying to help me. Everytime I called the company, I had to explain everything again. Evidenty they did not keep a record of all my previous calls.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Presentation The QVC hosts failed to mention some key information. !. You have to pay a subscription fee after a month to view your videos.I have 2 other security video cameras located outside my house and the product manufacturer names starts with an A and ends with an O and they charge no subscription fee to view your videos. May I also mention a very nice security camera. 2. When your house is elevated above street level you may have to purchase extra wedges for mounting in order for Ring to work properly which I had to do. Everything should be included when paying that kind of money. 3.May not work properly in cold weather in which my doesn't. With my Ring doorbell there is also inconsistent communication with router even with router extension which is located about 7 feet from the Ring doorbell. Also there is some lag time when viewing video.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Useful for peace of mind We recently had a package stolen from our front door. That very next day (after comparing Ring Video Doorbell versions and requirements) I ordered the Ring Video Doorbell 2. I also ordered a custom doormat. Hehehehe The distance from our front door to the street is about 15' but I find that we had to set our motion range of the Ring to 5' or else it will pick up every car that drives past the house. This causes a bit of an issue as it doesn't notify us of motion until the person is already at the door. In the case of a package thief, this could mean they have already grabbed the package and have started walking away. Unfortunately I can't pick my house up and move it back from the street (haha!) but at least we will still have the person on video. I do wish it came with a second battery, or at least have a clearer description that indicates that the video doorbell runs on a rechargeable battery. Had I understood this, I would have ordered another battery at the time of purchase. I haven't had an issue with the battery running out but it's only been a week; I would like to have a fully charged battery on hand. Also, it is important to mention that if the doorbell is a fair distance from the wifi router, it will drain the battery quicker. We have 3 floors and our modem lives on the 2nd floor. We have access points installed on floors 1 and 3 so we were able to connect our doorbell to it's local floor and we don't have a connection issue. Overall I'm super happy with the quality of the product as well as the ease of installation (supplying all the tools and hardware is so wonderful) and ease of configuration. Our next Ring purchase will be the Spotlight.

When people push the doorbell, it doesn't even let me know know there is anyone is at the door. This is the worst product for a doorbell. Don't but it.
