Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product I purchased this for my mother who is 83 years young. she thoroughly enjoys working in her flowers and yard. this shovel is a little heavy, but she says that makes it work better. she has no problem handling it, and is very happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Purchase Ever!!!! So I give this shovel 5 stars because it made short order of digging holes to plant plants in my NC soil which is extremely hard and contains a lot of clay. I use to have to soak my ground with water just to get a little hole dug with a regular shovel. It cuts through roots as well quite easily. I wasn't sure about the handle but love it. It does all it claims it will. Money well spent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This shovel KICKS ROOT!!! Last year we had our old bushes and most of our landscaping removed and anything that remained needed to be relocated. It has been quite a job, but I can I honestly say this shovel KICKS SOME ROOT and has really been a great help getting below the drip line of my very large lilies and other foundation plants. This shovel does have a little more weight to it than other shovels, but it was only something I noticed when I first picked it up and isn't even a problem for me personally. I have broken shovels in the past and wondered if I might do it this time as i was really putting some pressure on it to get plants pulled up, but so far so good-- this thing is TOUGH! I also use it to quickly dig up oversized dandelions and other weeds in my beds with no problems. I still bring my regular shovel with me for moving the dirt pile around quicker, but that's not something that bothers me at all as I am so pleased to just get my plants uprooted with as little trouble as possible. In addition, I have used it to do some edging and feel it does a great job. And when I do decide to divide up my lilies, I think this might be a useful tool for that job. I am a happy gardener with this shovel and I can get my DIG ON!!! Glad I found this one!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Best Friend I have used this numerous times in this hard, rock, shell dirt that I have in the yard. I have NOT had to water the ground to be able to get the shovel to dig into the ground. It has been my best friend with helping me dig holes to plant trees and shrubs in the ground. I love that the height is 44"-45" depending on where you measure to bottom of shovel. V point would be the 44". I love the round handle, so easy to use. I also found that when working in the yard, I can carry stuff with my hands while having this shovel looped on my arm. As far as rusting goes, I do not know. I clean my shovel after each use and let it dry and then put it in my Deck Box. I am a 65 year old female and my height is 5'7".
