Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and Sturdy I bought this in the orange color several months ago, just to use as a decorative piece. I have it sitting on an end table in my living room. One day my daughter accidentally knocked it off the table. It landed on my hardwood floor, and amazingly did not break...not even a chip. I have not used it as a fruit fly deterrent, but I can surely attest to its sturdiness. A beautiful piece!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pretty But Didnt Work When I opened the package, I said this is really pretty. I was so excited when the spring season came and the fruit flies started to appear, I thought I was ready for them. NOT!!! Does not catch a thing but is an attractive piece for the kitchen counter. Just go with the old fashion way of apple cidar vinegar in a bowl. Does the trick everytime.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fruit Fly Trap I bought these for birthday, dinner guest or whatever presents. I decided to try it out. Who has Apple cider on hand? Ok, trip to store and made up the solution and poured the right amount in the globe. After 3 days I found about 3-5 fruit flies in it. Still hopeful, because I loved the concept, my cat knocked it off and it shattered. Of course it would but I still can’t give it more stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful! My mother is 84 and she seen this on QVC. She wanted the orange one so I ordered it for her. We do not use it for trapping flies, but more as a beautiful piece of art that she enjoys to look at every day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT WORK These look pretty - but are worthless otherwise. I have been using them for a couple of months now - and not one fly has gone near it. I have one in the Kitchen and one in the Dining area. We live near a creek so the flies are terrible. However - despite the large number of flies we get in the house - not one has gone near this - much less been caught. EXTREMELY disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Gorgeous (yes it's a bug catcher !) when I opened the package I was pleasantly surprised at not only how big it was, but also how beautiful. It looks like a piece of art glass and yet it's a bug catcher. I bought to catch fruit flies, but I intend to display it like an piece of art (empty of course)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Work for me but with modification This is working very well for me but only after I removed the stopper. It fills up every couple of days. Much nicer than using plastic cups with mixture. Only reason I did not give it four stars is because well at bottom needs to be deeper.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't work I love the colors and idea of having something pretty on my counter to catch those pesky fruit flies, but this didn't catch them! I found this tricky to fill - you fill it from the bottom with an opening in the top. The well around the bottom hole is not very deep so when I filled it a lot of the vinegar came out the top hole even though I had it tilted. This product is really a waste of money.
