Rated 5 out of 5 by from YOU DON'T NEED A SCREW GUN I have other POLYWOOD furniture on my patio and I wanted this table to go with some new chairs. When it arrived I begged my husband to go buy the attachment for his power drill that would make it a SCREW GUN. He said he didn't need that. I showed him the instructions and he told me not to worry. So....this is how it went: We put all the pieces on our kitchen table so we could make sure everything was flat and more to eye level than being on the ground. As we both held the pieces together he drilled PILOT HOLES, WITH A DRILL BIT, where the long screws has to go in, about HALF the length of the screws (maybe a little more). Most of the screws are 3 inches long. POLYWOOD SHOULD HAVE DONE THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! Make sure everything is tight and square (perpendicular). Don't use a large drill bit or the screws will end up being loose! After that he changed out the DRILL BIT for the PHILLIPS screw bit for his drill...THEY ALL WENT IN STRAIGHT AND NO STRIPPED HEADS. It took us less than 5 minutes to put the table together. Note: it takes two people and the driller has to be strong to be able to hold the drill tight, straight and push hard. If you have a screw gun it would be the same thing as well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Table but a Bear to Assemble I like this table--it looks nice and is heavy--it isn't going to tip over if you bump it. The quality deserves 5 stars, but I knocked it down to 3 stars because it's very hard to assemble. There are only 5 pieces, but the first direction is that you need a screw gun to assemble it. Huh? That's because there are predrilled holes only in the outside of the legs--there are none on the shelves. That means to attach the shelves to the legs, you have to push a long screw through dense plastic with no starter hole. I tried using my drill with a phillips head bit, but stripped two of the screw heads and almost never got them back out. I ended up buying a screw gun and after that it was pretty easy to assemble but should you have to buy something else to assemble a little table?? I think not, especially when I just assembled two Polywood Adirondacks chairs in about the same time with the hex wrench that came with them. So nice table, but only buy it if you have the right power tools.
