Disappointing quality
I had a blown glass gazing ball for years that I loved. It added real interest to a shady area of my garden. Sadly it was destroyed when a branch fell on it during a windstorm (word to the wise: always bring your glass gazing balls inside when severe weather is forecast--the one time I forgot, this was the result). I was thrilled when I saw these on QVC as they are far more expensive elsewhere. I thought they were such a deal I bought two. Well, you know that old adage that you get what you pay for? Both have very noticeable dimples on the tops, with glaringly obvious imperfections in the mirror coating all over the surface. Since both are like this I doubt these would be considered "defective". They are just very poorly made. Won't return as it would be too expensive, and hopefully at a distance the defects won't be as obvious, but would definitely not encourage anyone else to buy.
