Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Camera for the money I read reviews for days before I decided to purchase the Nikon D3400 and I was not disappointed. There are plenty of videos to help you learn how to use the camera and have fun with your hobby or profession. I am new to photography not using a phone and this camera has a great auto mode to use while you learn how the manual operation works. I could not be happier with the camera, it takes great pictures! I would highly recommend this if you are new to photography and want to learn without spending a small fortune. Thanks Nikon :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best entry level DSLR out there! It's a great little machine for learning and introducing ourselves to the world of photography. It has a great sensor (used on more expensive cameras) and a great overall quality. The design is great, it's light and you are able to complete your set with a great variety of lenses from Nikon and other brands. I'm loving it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great way to get back into DSLR I had long sold my previous DSLR-had gotten 'another' brand and wasnt happy- and thought I would stick to just a superzoom point and shoot, but then saw the D3400 double lens kit and thought, why not! Am super glad I did, not only is a great way to get back into hang of DSLR's, being easy to use and handle, but also takes fantastic pics!! Well worth it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Every feature required for good photography. with this model. Own a D 60, however the D 3400 offers many more features to produce even better photography. For example, live view, more pixels,ISO, ETC. However, I do miss the self cleaning possibility.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bundle feature I purchased the Nikon D3400 after much deliberation. I needed a new camera after my 12 year old Coolpix decided to quit working. We are getting ready to take several vacations to some National Parks, starting off with Yellowstone in a few short days; in which I wanted a camera to take scenic and wildlife pictures that my iPhone cannot take without blurring out. I looked at several cameras, and reviews and talked to my sister who has D3200, so it should have been an easy decision but, It was a toss up between the canon T6 DSLR bundle and the Nikon D3400 bundle and really just over the price and weight of the camera. The Nikon will take 5 pictures per second compared to the Canon at 3 pictures per second and the canon was about 50 dollars cheaper, and a little lighter, but I chose the Nikon because of the way it fits in my hand perfectly while taking pictures, the ability to take more pictures per second, the added Bonus zoom lens 70-300mm, that I really needed for distance shots, the 18-55mm lens, rechargeable battery, battery charger and the really nice camera case. personally the camera is easy to use, even for my 12 year old son! My son is more adept at taking pictures and using my camera than I am, so I often refer to him on how to use some functions. I’ve taken videos, sports (action) photos and photos of a full orange moon and can see the craters on it. I’m extremely happy with my purchase. I am A beginner with the DSLR cameras and this is not for professional use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happiness is spelled "3400" 45 Years ago I was shooting with the old Nikkormat; slides, B/W, and all the magic... The 3400 comes into life late, but with all the magic and versatility of years gone by. All the quality and performance that goes with the Nikon name... You can buy less and a lower price, but you will never match the results of 24mp in the Nikon body with the Nikkor superior lens hanging off the front. Spend a little time with the online videos; keep the manual open... invest a minimal amount of time with the basics; everything else is amazingly intuitive on the menu system. I found it amazing to do a series of comparison albums of subject/scenes that I had done before and the results were incredible; the Nikon touch, clarity, sharpness, color, amazing... breathtaking detail... an old pilot enjoying once again the love of seeing the world from a familiar platform but with an incredible clarity... Thank you Nikon... thank you so much...
