Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Very Reliable I purchased these cameras when it was a TSV a couple of months ago. I’m usually able to set up these kinds of things myself pretty easily... however that was not the case this time. As some of the other reviewers noted... I couldnt get the cameras to sync - because the app didn’t support these particular cameras. I put everything back in the box and had planned to send them back. I live in a duplex and don’t have the best neighbors... reason why I purchased the cameras in the first place. So I decided to hire someone to get them up and running for me. Good thing I did! It required a computer, being on the phone with tech support for almost an hour. They seem to go offline quite often, aren’t reliable with always sending alerts, and sometimes miss recording - the whole reason I got them - to catch my neighbors going through my things. I also agree with others that when you zoom in you lose clarity. So far the batteries seem to last about 2 weeks before needing a charge. I have to take them to charge late at night so my neighbors don’t see that I have cameras. I think these need to be re-worked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This camera actually recorded intruders!!! My husband laughed at me when I bought this. Well now I'm the one laughing. I was home alone last week when Arlo alerted me to motion on my driveway. Since I didn't expect anyone to come home I looked at the footage and saw 3 masked people coming into my back yard! I called the police but unfortunately they got away. Since Arlo recorded them I was able to send the footage to the detectives for further enhancement. Hopefully they'll be able to identify the suspects since they did break into 2 homes in the neighborhood. Thank you ARLO for protecting my home!!! Had it not been for the cameras who knows if I would have saw the intruders. I've since ordered 2 more cameras. This was by far the best Today's special value ever! I have told everyone I know to order these cameras! I should add that I've had zero problem with them or syncing them. It's super easy to set up and install the camera. Don't hesitate to order.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Security Cameras!! I bought these for my parents who are older, so I can keep an eye on their outdoor surroundings front and backyard. For over 6 years I had the old Netgear cameras which I loved, (just recently died) I did have to change out expensive batteries and the site was good. I did not have to pay for the pics and I don't have to pay for my parent's cameras history library either. I did show them how to charge the batteries and how to arm the siren if necessary. The battery only lasted 2 months but considering that you do not have to purchase any batteries, just recharge them that is a plus. My dad recharged the batteries thank goodness with no issues. The picture quality is great!! I love these cameras, the price was amazing I got the TSV. My old Netgear picture quality was not great and you could not talk to anyone but I still loved that old system. You can put these anywhere and they are very sturdy. The old Netgear cameras were my first cameras,(so they have been around for awhile) Currently I have a Nest for driveway and Ring spotlight for backyard and two Samsung tilt and pan cameras inside (my favorite) But unfortunately, I do have to pay a monthly fee to view pics and all mine are wired. The fact that these are wireless is great. I was able to sync and set up quickly. I have not had to contact Arlo customer service and hopefully, I won't have to, but if I do I will add the experience to my reviews.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Caught in the act first week! I love these cameras! Easy to setup and use, and the picture quality is great! Wide viewing range makes them easy to setup just about anywhere. I live in a duplex and the landlord is doing work on the other side. Within the first week I recorded video of her contractors using my hose to clean their paint supplies (and destorying the nozzel, leaving the water on, and not putting the hose back on the reel). Also recorded video of the landscapers not doing their job and just pretending to cut the grass/weeds. I am working out of town for several weeks so these cameras give me a great way to watch over my place while I am gone...peace of mind is priceless! As the window sticker says...You may not see Arlo, but Arlo sees you! Going to buy additional cameras soon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from customer service is horrible!!! My wife and I were in the market for a security camera system One day while killing some time watching qvc we were introduced to this system. It seemed like everything we were looking for so we made the purchase before taking the time to review the product. The cameras arrived very quickly but that has been the only thing good I have to say so far. As for the set up that is supposed to be almost automatic..........You will download the app for set up only to find that the arlo pro 2 is not even listed as an option for set up. You will end up clicking on everything to finally get something to work. So after at least an hour i finally was set up. I mounted the cameras and seemed pretty happy with the results for a couple weeks. We noticed that we really did not need the inside camera on all the time so I started turning it off except for when we would leave town for the day. This immediately started to drain the battery, and I mean fast. I figured no big deal, I would just call customer service and get the problem taken care of, wow was I wrong!! after reaching customer service I waited on the line, with only one caller in front of me i figured it would be no time at all until i was speaking to someone. Exactly 48 minutes later someone answered, needless to say i was a little bit upset. After a very frustrated conversation we came up with a plan to determine whether the problem was with a camera or a battery. I mentioned to the tech guy that after reading reviews that this was obviously a problem they have seen and they should know exactly what it was. He agreed with me but said he could not process anything until i switched batteries on my cameras. I told him i could not handle having to call again since I could feel my blood pressure spiking and I did not want my head to explode out of frustration. I was told I would never have to call back since he would be sending me a link so I could deal with him directly over email. The link came but did absolutely nothing!!!! You will find yourself looking through the community support section only to get nowhere. Do not waste your time with this option either. I am currently on hold once again trying to get my problem solved. I decided that since I have nothing but time while I wait now would be a good time to write this review. If you trust you will never have an issue with this system feel free to order. If you think there is the slightest chance you may need help someday do yourself a favor, save yourself the stress, keep your life simple and avoid arlo at all costs. I am a father of two and raising my children has been so much less stressful than listening to this crappy music while on hold just trying to get a new freaking camera to replace the one that was faulty right out of the box. I am currently on minute 37 waiting with the phone on speaker wasting away a beautiful Saturday morning. I wish we would not have made this impulse buy, instead did a little more research and got a product we could rely on. If I ever receive a new camera and continue to have problems the whole system will be packed up and returned to qvc. Again, if you are at risk for heart attack, stroke, or just have high blood pressure avoid Arlo at all costs because they may just send you to meet your maker.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Battery Problems!!!! I purchased the Netgear Arlo HD 2, as the TSV. It was easy to connect no problems there. However the batteries drain too fast within a weeks time.... I recall during the presentation the Netgear Representative said: "The batteries only need to be charged every 3 Months. THAT IS NOT THE CASE, UNFORTUNATELY. I contacted Netgear Technical Support (3) times regarding this problem they made me reboot the Security Camera & Batteries every time, but the battery problem persists. My next step is to contact the Warrantee Dept. since I purchased a Warrantee they'll have to step-up & replace both batteries since they DO NOT LAST 3 MONTHS AS PROMISED!!!! Disappointed. I gave 2 stars only because the cameras is not flimsy like some others".

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Two Strikes And Arlo Is Out I bought this when it was a TSV. Thought it was a good deal. Problem: cameras would not sync. Returned for exchange. Second system did not work either. Problem: cameras would not sync. The light on the base flashed green longer but turned to Amber to indicate no sync. Sending back for refund. Sorry it didn’t work. Many people told me what a great system Arlo is. I must live in a No-Arlo Zone. I tried a Wanless camera that worked just fine til I discovered it would NOT send alerts because it was incompatible with iPhone. Burned twice on Arlo. Moving on. Good Luck if you try Arlo.
