Beautifully made jeans. Nice weight - not too heavy or too thin. Very well constructed. Perfect dark rinse color too. These hug and fit the lines of the body perfectly. I am a 6 and sized down to a 4 for a perfect fit. These are a jegging fit so if one has athletic calves like me......they will show!

LOVE THESE JEANS
These are my favorite jeans! They fit like a glove and are comfortable. 2 things that normally don’t go together. As far as the sizing, yes order a size smaller than your normal size. I normally wear a 10 and the 8 is perfect. And to address the “vanity inflation”...who cares?!?! Even if it’s a marketing strategy, it’s working and I’ll keep buying. It wouldn’t matter if I had to order 10 sizes up or down, I’d still order them. I’m my opinion, The Jean is of very high quality material. The comfort level is worth its weight in gold. And let me mention the compliments I get in these jeans. They fly my way. And that is well worth the price of the jeans. They simply just make me feel nicely dressed, put together but still comfortable. I’ll take it!

Major size inflation!
Though I like these jeans, I do not see the point of the extreme size inflation. In traditional, more "true" sizing I am usually a 6/S. In QVC's land of vanity sizing, I am a 2/XS. Not knowing where I'd be in these jeans since I hadn't bought from NYDJ before, I ordered a 4, a 2 and a 0, based on the representative gushing about going down a size. In the end, the 0 fits me the best--and there is still room to spare! It seems I could easily wear a 00, which is ridiculous to me. The last time I wore a 0 was eight years and about twenty pounds ago. Ladies, let's not forget that this inflated, vanity sizing is simply a marketing ploy to make us feel thinner, and thus more likely to make the purchase. Sizing down is not simply based on the denim fabrication itself, but (of course) also on the cut of the jeans and allotment of material, which NYDJ has cleverly manipulated and added inches to since they came on the scene in the early 2000s. That said, I recommend these jeans, but know you may need to go down two or even three sizes.

made well, 28 inch inseam
Need 30 inch inseam. These indicate 30 inch inseam but actually less than 28 inches. Too short for this price.

Good With Exception
Fit is excellent using direction to size down one size. After more years than I would like to admit wearing jeans, I should have known to wash these dark indigo pair at least once before wearing. The dye definitely transfers to other fabric, e.g., beige chair cushion! I suggest the manufacturer attach a direction to these advising of potential dye transfer and noting to soak and wash until no color in the rinse water. They do wash well, but it is a needed step to prevent ruining other clothes or furniture.

Beautiful Jeans but not for me
I purchases these is a size 4P which is my regular size. I ignored the recommendation to get a size smaller. I really wanted to love these jeans since I love the color and they are petite so no hemming needed. I have lots of legging pants and jeans and no problem with size. I have muscular legs and I found that the fabric on these jeans was bunched up on my legs. I am not sure if that is because I should have sized down or they were just too long. The bottom line, they did not look good on me for that price so I have returned them.

These jeans Transfer on everything!!!!
The only reason I gave these a two is because they fit well. The fact that the color bleeds on everything makes these not at all worth the price! I washed these jeans three times and they still transfer blue on everything they touch. They are going back. I can't see paying this much for denim like this!
