Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Improvement I was having trouble with dead spots and buffering. Wireless internet is very much improved since upgrading to this router. I definitely recommend it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from When it works it work very well I have had my router for about 18 months. I have had connection dropping issues from the beginning. I bought it because its supposes to be thebest , never again. I will not spend hours on the phone running through many scenarios. It works or it doesn't and for the most part this has too many issues.i am computer savvy and like the software for this router.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good solid unit I have had this for over a year and only had one problem when it stoped working after an update to the firmware. Netgear replaced it without any issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rock steady reliable I've had this router for a few years and it is the first router which I have had zero problems with. I work from home and have 3 children, so it sees lots of use. Firmware updates are still coming and the wireless range is a bit better than the high end Linksys routers I have had in the past. I am officially a Netgear customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy, quick set-up in 5 minutes My hubby and upgraded our dated but very trusty little NetGear router to this one. The set-up was a breeze! I had it set up in 5 minutes through the app on my phone. We were streaming live TV in 10 minutes after setting it up. I changed the settings to smart connect so devices could be connected accordingly. Our house is about 2,500 square feet and my devices on the other side of the house away from the router have an amazing signal, the range is great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk, it's been nothing but problems from day 1 I've used several brands of routers, even those newer than this model and this one continues to be a problem child. It frequently has issues dropping connections to devices, and it was the source of poor streaming speeds and stuttering to two devices, as soon as the router was replaced, all problems completely solved. Tried different firmwares, various settings, configs, spent hours on Netgear's forums etc. didn't matter. What's worse, you can't even use it as a wireless extender or bridge if you wanted to. This router has caused more issues than the last 10 I've installed combined. There's no shortage of people having similar issues with this version of the Nighthawk series, it's been a total waste of money and generator of frustration.
