Mio Global Alpha 2 Heart Rate Sport Watch is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 47.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Questionable Accuracy I bought my Alpha 2 about a year ago. My BIG beef is that I can be in my exercise routine ,knowing full well that my heart rate is up, yet my Alpha shows the heart rate declining...and it will take at least a minute before the rate goes up. I dry it off after each use and even contacted the company. Does anyone else have a similar concern? Any other products out there?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great single-purpose watch.Very accurate I got this a couple of years back. It still holds a charge forever and it's very accurate. I don't run with a phone(I hate that) and this also works in the pool. At $110 bucks now it's a nice assistant for bikers and runners who do not want those clunky strap-ons. Could use a UI enhancement where you can track interval time AND HR. Or be able to choose chrono mode vs. HR+Time. Easy to read numbers-great font choice. Could use an LED light somehow

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Hardware, Poor MIO GO Application. I bought a Mio Alpha 2 three weeks ago, I am a 5K/ Half Marathon runner, Heart rate Accuracy is great. The BAD: Impossible to get the time per Lap(or time per Mile, Interval or equivalent name). To MIOGLOBAL people: The watch is registering that Info and YOU CAN NOT SEE IT. Not in the Watch, Not in the MIOGO Application (for Android GalaxyS7), Neither in the CSV file exported from the MIOGO Application. The Time per LAP is a great feature, it is an EXACT number registered by the Watch. it is not like steps, calories and distance which are close to the real numbers PLEASE GIVE US A CHANCE TO SEE AND USE THAT TIME PER LAP FEATURE.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Magnificent HW, poor SW. The gadget is great! Work perfect for biking and swimming, I owned a Link also, but decided to move to Alpha just for tracking my swim training. The sw is poor. No way to manage info outside the phone. I don´t know if it is my MotoG but the BT connection is very unstable and hard is to finish a training session all monitored (another reason to move to Alpha with built in memory). I also have had trouble working with the PAI sw. I hope both sw would improve in the future to be up to the HW´s level. By the way, I ask for a future firmware update to have a setting to set off the blinking lead. Is very annoying at night or in the theater. Thanks. Pablo

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Need some more features, anyway great product I've been using this product for 4 months and I can say it's a great product. I love the design, the comfort and the big clear display. Also the fact it can work in the water was a main reason I preferred over other products. Anyway, I would suggest a few things: first, to give the option for a small version also for male: I have a small wrist and the large version is a bit too large, also the strap has a poor lock system which tend to open during training sessions. I would add some more feature, as: a clock alarm, useful when we bring the clock in vacation; the possibility to keep the light always ON, during night training sessions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Love the MIO Alpha 2 - great product served me well over the last year. Would be fantastic if it can produce average heart rate per lap!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lack of precision While it keeps its precision during activities like running and biking, it goes completely off the course with sports like Box, KickBox or Crossfit. When at the peak of your performance, Mio is unable to read your heartbeat from your hand and shows dropped data (sometimes 90 instead of 190). It needs some time to adjust during your recovery, but it makes your training data worthless.
