Description
What's a spurtle? It's a spoon. And a spatula. And more. What does a spurtle do? The spectacular spurtle scoops, stirs, smashes, spreads, and serves. The spurtle stirs sauces, soups, and stir fry better than a spoon since its curved shape and flat end get to the edges of pots and pans without scratching them. The spurtle is a splendid scoop for condiment jars, ensuring you get every last dollop. The spurtle spreads--everything from icing to butter to cream cheese. And the spurtle serves--use it like a spatula to cleanly lift lasagna from pan to plate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Kitchen Tools! I love these spurtles and use them every day. The large one is perfect for so many cooking tasks. The smallest one takes the place of a spoon and knife when it comes to spreading everything from jams to condiments. I love having wooden tools instead of plastic or metal. These spurtles are as smooth as silk and pretty in a pottery jar on the kitchen counter.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as expected I was so looking forward to this set but they arrived damaged. Two of the spurtles were splintered. They were also very light weight and did not appear to be very durable. Maybe the silicone version would be a better buy. Great idea but poor quality.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good shake, but splintered. I like the silicone set. I have many other wooden utensils and none have ever splintered. The main spurtle splintered. Means it’s not sanded properly however it is made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect single serve stirring Bought another set in corral, to make a marching pair, so now I have a set of spurdles for the table and are perfect for tossing salads and especially pasta salads which require two hand tossing. So glad corral color came back. Next, been reading reviews and questions. With wood instruments, I don't soak them in water or rest in the pot. I don't let color finish to get into water but, take a wet sponge or wash cloth and clean, then air dry. It looks like handle is coated with latex paint, so I don't submerge into water. Got my first set several years ago and are holding up well. Recommended is after use stirring, put on spoon rest or across the bowl, even salads I wouldn't let wood utensils "sit" in any water, moisture, food at all. Clean immediately after work is done and let air do the work. If washing and wood is to wet, wipe through a tea towel or paper towel and air dry rest

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favorite! My new favorite kitchen tool! It has replaced almost everything in my cooking crock. I own 2 sets of these spurtles and considering buying it in the silicone version!
