MSI GL63 8RC-068 Gaming Laptop - Core i7, 16GB RAM, 1TB HDD is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from I wouldnt reccomend this laptop for gaming I recieved this product as a christmas gift, and it was my first gaming laptop so i was excited. It worked fine for a bit but a few months passed and i realized the mic quality; sounds like someone beat it with stick. Second, the headphone jack didn't even work, I tried earbuds, corsair headphones, anything with a mic and i was disappointed. The headphones never popped up in Discord or in sounds or anything so i was forced to get bluetooth ones which work but its just annoying that a "high end" laptop can't even perform well. I can't run rust on the highest graphics and on Minecraft i have to turn off every effect just to run 300fps and for no reason it just dropped to below 100fps without me touching anything. For the price payed im dissapointed in this brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I bought this as a replacement for my Alienware M15x. I had my old laptop since 2011 and being a gamer it was starting to have issues with the newer games with lag. Since getting this gaming has been smooth and wonderful. I love how fast it runs and how lightweight it is. I especially love the Cooler Boost it has and the graphics!! Overall I was leary at first about getting an MSI but after using it this past week all I can say is GAME ON!!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Graphics This was replacing a i-5 Hp Pavilion I bought 5+ years ago. Not much improvement over my old computer other than good cooling. I saw very little difference in performance other than a slight improvement in graphics, which is only a GeForce GTX 1050 with 4GB memory. Key stat is "GTX 1050". I wouldn't get anything less than a 1060 ti with 6GB vid ram. So I returned this and got the HP 17.3" OMEN Laptop with the 1060ti 6GB video ram which is costlier than the MSI but well worth the price of admission.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gaming laptop for beginners! This was my first official gaming laptop, so I was pumped when I got to order it. I had my expectations set very high and I was not disappointed. It's super fast, great display and doesn't get super hot even just sitting on your lap. I only play one game on it, but have a lot of CC installed and it hasn't slowed down one bit. I definitely recommend for someone new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic laptop It has a GTX 1050 instead of a 1060 which is actually a really big difference, but I'm still happy with it. It plays every game on the market on high settings. It's not the most powerful gaming laptop in the world but it's a very good value for the price. The build quality seems less than stellar. It feels soft, the plastic bends easily. In turn, that means it's lightweight. Very much so, it's really easy to move around. The airflow is fantastic, almost the entire bottom of the laptop is one big air intake and it never gets very hot. While I don't recommend it, I sometimes use this thing out in 97 degree weather and it doesn't break 75C while playing CPU intensive games like Cities Skylines, Anno 2205, Civilization VI or KSP. The battery life isn't that great but I didn't buy it for the battery. I can pull 2.5 hours out of it on the most minimal of settings, brightness turned almost all the way down. While gaming, the battery lasts about an hour, which is to be expected in something so thin and light (for gaming laptops). The screen is interesting... I'm pretty sure its native resolution is something higher than 1920*1080 because Windows scales to 125% by default, resetting UI scaling to normal makes everything really small, as if it were a much higher native resolution than is being supported by the video card. I have no doubt the tech specs are in a document somewhere but I haven't been able to find out exactly what hardware is used for the screen. I'd bet it's something weird like 2.7K. Overall, great budget gaming laptop. I mean, it's hard to think of any computer that costs over $1,000 as being "budget", but it is for gaming after all and there are some much more powerful laptops out there. If you want to game, get this laptop. If you want to max out all the settings in every game released for the next five years, get a laptop with a GTX 1070.
