Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best travel bag This is the best travel bag I have ever used. Great for weekend trips. I was able to pack clothes for 3 people for 2 nights in this bag and still had plenty of room for our essentials. Perfect as a carry on too. I am buying two more as soon as they are available on easy pay again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not a gym bag, impractical for use as a backpack This is a good choice for a travel bag if you like a crossbody or over the shoulder or if you plan to secure it to your suitcase pull. But it isn't good for a work-gym combo or as a backpack. (In fairness, it wasn't marketed as a gym bag, but it does have a backpack option). Backpack issues: all of the compartments are on the outer pockets, which is relatively insecure, as people can easily sneak out your phone and other items. serious warning: the magnetic outer pocket kept coming apart as I carried it on my back and would expose any tablet, which is its suggested purpose in the videos. even if it wasn't exposed, you wouldn't really want it that accessible, would you?? The one pocket that is against your back is meant to hold pens, pencils, etc which would be uncomfy on your back. Gym bag issues: Not enough compartments on the inside for stowing toiletries, and it's WAY too big, even for a combo gym-work bag. Work bag issues: no laptop sleeve/ compartment I have used lug in the past - my favorite style is unfortunately discontinued. So this one seems like a miss for a brand that is otherwise really awesome in planning practical use of its products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More Plaid Please I love this bag. I love all the carry options. I use a backpack when I commute to work, but I wanted a different one to use during the winter weather. This one is great because the nylon material will help keep stuff dry inside. Also in the winter, especially with it getting darker earlier, I get more nervous about waiting for public transportation with my bag behind me. Regular backpacks, while they have a handle, they are not meant to be carried with that handle for long periods of time. With this bag I can switch to cross body anytime I need to. I did not have any trouble getting the backpack straps back inside the bag and I am glad they can be hidden. In addition, I can not say enough about the plaid, This is my second Lug bag and I am sure I will be getting more in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Carryon! I've always used Vera Bradley weekender bags. But as I've gotten older, it's been really hard to carry them through the airport. This year I had 2 trips overseas and bringing back stuff home really weighed down my VB bag. On one trip from England, I literally dragged the bag through the airport. When I saw this presented, I thought this was a great idea. Had the style of the VB Weekender bag but I could use it as a backpack when it got heavy. I received it today and I can't wait to use it. I fit all my usual stuff in it I usually need on the plane and it's still over half empty. The ability to use as a backpack is a HUGE plus. Sorry, Vera but you're being put out to pasture :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous! Took this bag and an oversized backpack as our carry on luggage on a two week trip to Ireland and Norway. Packs a ton and I love the little compartments. Warning: this is heavy when fully packed, but I never felt overwhelmed by the bag. My go to bag for travel.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Durability Issue One of the zippers on a front pocket is catching and not running smoothly and I am afraid that it will eventually break. Also the side pockets for a water bottle are oversized and not deep enough and when testing mine - they fell completely out. They need to be deeper or the elastic needs be stronger (they almost seem stretched out). The bag is beautiful, a great size, and I love the backpack option (why I bought it) but sadly it is going back. Very disappointed :(
