Learning Resources Latch & Learn School House is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for our School Theme Put this out for when we are on Unit 1 of our curriculum (All About School). Kiddos love playing with the little people, as well as the latches. Lightweight, and an easy toy to put out at the blocks center.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Falls Short This is a great idea however there's a problem with two of the latches. I would have returned this item but it cost more to ship it back. The section with the slid latch (orange section): either the slot is too narrow or the part to insert the chain is to large. Hard to move. The section with the fold over tab (the green section), after a short time of use, the screws pulled out. I'm going to try super glue to see if it can be fixed that way.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Parts fell Off I wrote to customer service for a replacement toy. I had to remove this toy from play because of the plastic chain lock part easily falling off. It is small and gold and kids could swallow it. I am disappointed and hope Learning Resources looks into the safety of this product. I bought it for my grandson thinking it was an ideal interactive and safe product for him. Purchased on Oct 26, 2017.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So Many Ways to Play [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My three year old loves locks and latches, so I was excited to get the schoolhouse for him. Upon arrival he sat and played with it for over an hour. It's so versatile. He first checked out how all the latches worked which is great for his fine motor skills. Then he moved on to naming the numbers and colors of the doors and people. Finally he named the people children and teacher and he's been using it as an imaginative play piece since. My only complaints are he's pulled off two different doors (which we were able to pop back into place) and the chain latch sticks. The peg is almost too small for the whole and the chain feels cheaply made. I'm worried that it's going to break from normal wear and tear.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun, but not super sturdy The children liked the school house. The only downfall is that the doors break easily.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a fun house [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy was fun in the moment to the children. The children like playing with it and the little people that come with it. It is very useful for young children learning how to maneuver different fine motor skills.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this again and as a gift. Even while in the packaging, the kids I care for (ages 1-6) were intrigued and wanted to get started playing. The package was fairly simple to open. The toy presents itself well and didn't need my guidance to get started. It is easily an individual/self play toy. However, can also be used to encourage sharing, taking turns, imagination, and playing together. The older kids had fun playing with the toy people and pretending they were going to school; the younger kids had fun imitating what they saw. Each kid liked working the different locks (really for fine motor skills). They all had some difficulty with the chain type lock on the orange doors, though. There is a certain angle needed to get the plastic circle to fit in place before it will slide. However, it didn't discourage them from playing... they just asked for help. I was impressed to see each of the kids naturally matching the color of the toy person to the color doors that they belonged inside of. There is clock with moveable hands that's great for practicing time telling with, however for this age group it hasn't really gotten any attention. In addition, some my own children (10 and 8 years old) have even sat down with the younger ones to play with the toy. https://www.learningresources.com/product/latch---learn-school-house-7736/ReviewSubmit.do?sortby=ourPicks&pageId=LER7736
