Le Creuset 27-oz Stoneware French Press is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as expected I loved the look of this French press, and it made an OK cup of coffee (though I've had better from French presses). I returned it after only 2 uses. The reason is the carafe doesn't keep the coffee hot, nor even warm. After drinking my first cup, the second cup is already cool. Then you have to microwave the coffee. I believe a stainless steel press is better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Frustrating & Faulty Design I've used various French presses throughout the years, and they always make the BEST cup of coffee. I bought this Le Creuset French press because Le Creuset has a solid reputation for quality products, but also because I wanted a French press that would keep my coffee warmer longer and looks attractive for serving. It does do both of those things. Some others have mentioned that it is heavy, and it is when full, but you'd expect that from stoneware. It's very attractive and looks nice for presentation as well. That's where the good ends for us. No matter how coarsely-ground the coffee is, this French press does NOT press down and hold the grounds in the bottom. It's normal to have SOME grounds from a European design press like this, but this is an INSANE amount. It clearly doesn't fit nor function properly. It's embarrassing to serve coffee and have a teaspoon or more grounds floating in our cups. *cringe* Another issue we have with ours is it seems to create a vacuum while steeping. When you go to press, you have to lift the entire assembly out and slowly put it back in, otherwise it creates a vacuum and explodes everywhere. Also a mess during dinner. *cringe* I'm seriously wondering if ours is faulty? I saw a few reviews on other sites that said theirs had the same issues, so maybe a batch ran through that aren't quite "right." ?? One other thing to note for those who are buying it because of the "larger size." That becomes pointless as you can only fill the press to the bottom of the pour spout, otherwise it will slosh out when you press. (Not a big deal, but do be aware that you won't get a full 27 ounces as advertised.) Honestly, in all my 20+ years of using a French press, I've never had one so poorly designed or frustrating/messy. I should have kept the box, because now I'm stuck with it and no one wants to use it. I'm returning to my $20 glass press..it may not be as attractive, but at least it works properly. I'm entirely disappointed with both QVC and Le Creuset, and I doubt I'll ever buy any further Le Creuset products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Coffee! This made one the best cups of coffee I have ever had! I used regular ground coffee from Dunkin Donuts. I put enough coffee grounds for two cups in bottom of the Press. Let steep for a minute. Then pushed the the plunger up and down just a bit. Then pushed all the way down! It came out perfect! Great tasting cup of coffee! No grinds. No residue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used for first time - perfect coffee Just received in the Hibiscus color - which is a beautiful pale pink - in the nude blush range. Tried it this morning and it was so easy. I used coarse grounds as recommended with French Press. Just put 4 tablespoons of coffee at the bottom of the press, added the water which I boiled and let sit for 1 minute, then used the press to mix the coffee a few times. At the end I put the press on the bottom and poured the coffee - it was perfect, no acidity. The Le Crueset kept the rest of the coffee hot until my next cup. I highly recommend this - I have a Keurig, but this is more economical and the coffee flavor cannot be beat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful French Press! Had glass press before, did not hold the heat through the end of desert. I have my blue press and I love it. I pour hot water in to heat until my water comes to boil in my tea kettle. I pour water out of my carafe, measure heaping tablespoon of coffee for each cup, pour the boiling water into the carafe, steep for 4 minutes before pushing press down. Coffee tastes so rich and delicious. Highly recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Le Creuset is the Best! I purchased two of these, the hibiscus (baby pink) for me and the truffle color as a Christmas gift. I come from a coffee-drinking family so I think it will be well received. I am really glad to have found these because I've had the glass ones in the past and have broken them repeatedly to the point where I don't use them anymore and they are in the garage sale pile. I think this press makes a great tasting cup of coffee and the ceramic carafe keeps the coffee warmer longer, especially if you follow the directions. I really hope this goes on easy pay again because I'd like to get the rest of the colors to gift and easy pay makes it a lot more affordable during the holiday season! Get one, you won't regret it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best coffee ever! Just received last week in the brown color and love the color and clean function of it.Easy to use and easy clean.Just remember to use coarse ground coffee as fine ground could pass through the press into your coffee.I just put a 2nd order in tonight for the blush color one as I could use one for caffeinated coffee and one for decaf coffee when serving a few people. No worries with this wonderful product that any bacteria would grow for as all is washable unlike the pod type machines which I have owned many and loved them but lately after reading some articles about bacteria etc developing within the machine it bothered me so it brought me to this French Press where parts are visible and cleanable. Love It
