What is it: A correcting and brightening liquid powder with swirls of soft tan to help offset ruddiness, brighten sallow tones, and balance your complexion. The included retractable brush makes for easy, foolproof application.

Who is it for: All skin types.

Why is it different: Baked in a terra-cotta pan for 24 hours, this unique foundation is infused with color-corrective pigments ranging from light tan to sheer beige. Mineral oil- and paraben-free, it is loaded with centella asiatica and white tea to help fight signs of aging and provide antioxidant protection. The bristles of the retractable baked powder brush have a gentle wave to readily pick up powder and cleanly deposit it on the skin. The synthetic hairs won't absorb makeup or oil.

How do I use it: Use all over the face in place of foundation, or with your favorite base for an even and healthy glow.

From Laura Geller.

  • Includes 0.32-oz Balance-N-Brighten Baked Foundation and retractable brush
  • Porcelain: for doll-like complexions; alabaster skin
  • Fair: if Porcelain is too light or you have a bit more warmth to your skin
  • Medium: true medium; good default color if you're not sure what shade you are

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like the foundation. Brush is too small!!! Have used the Balance and Bright Foundation for years and love it. The brush included was way to small, would be better as a blush brush.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favorite For Foundation I have tried many powder foundations and all have made my face look caked on or show my pours, but not this one. I keep coming back for more of Laura’s cause it’s not heavy and it’s the only one I can wear in the hot sticky summer months. Love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight yet velvety This is actually a really nice foundation. I prefer it over IT now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Foundation great, brush so-so... I love this baked powder foundation! It's so easy to touch-up after I blow my nose or wipe my eyes (I have year-round allergies). Also, the coverage is buildable in case my roseacea is acting up, arughh! But, the brush is only S o-so. Laura, why didn't you pair this foundation with your collapsible kabuki brush (like you offer with the Baked Elements foundation)? And...there's no sponge applicator either! Tsk tsk Laura! The brush you do include is smaller, with less bristles & just plain floppy! I'm never sure of getting uniform coverage if I use that brush. You're off to a great start with the foundation...you just need better follow-through on this item. When I run out of this one, I'll order the compact by itself, without this brush!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does Not Feel Like I Have Makeup On I have been looking for a foundation that does not look like I have anything on and this is it for me. It balances out my completion so I have even looking skin. The part that it is buildable is definitely a plus. I really like this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good But Would Be Better W SPF I like this product but as a powder over my foundation. I find that it doesn't have enough coverage for me on its own. I have a suggestion... please add SPF bc I use my It Cosmetics more due to the fact that it has SPF.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for me I like Laura's products but I have found that the IT CC works best for me. Laura's Balance N Brighten does not cover my redness very well. IT CC is a one stop shop for me: throughly covers my redness and under eye circles/darkness. Laura's foundation does not do that for me and I find that I have to use concealer as well when I use hers. Not the best foundation if you have redness and discoloration. I do like her Spackle, though!
