Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sophisticated design The firmware design is clever for this indoor/outdoor thermometer. The indoor unit sleeps when it's dark to conserve its solar generated power then awakes when a light is turned on. So far its solar cells are keeping the indoor unit and north facing outdoor unit charged.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good For A Year This worked great for a year, which I ordered June 8, 2015 and it no longer works as of August 2, 2016. Has a 1 year year warranty which of course was up in June, of course not returnable. If it's worth $40.00 a year then it is the one for you and if not then buyer beware........loved it while it worked but can't afford $40.00 a year to see the outside temp indoors.........
