Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sooo soothing! I just love this hand cream! At 58 years old my hands get extremely dry, especially in the cooler months and I always have a hard time finding a good cream that doesn't end up drying my hands up even more. This Shea Butter Hand Cream works miracles. It goes on smoothly, doesn't require you to keep rubbing it in constantly since it absorbs very quickly and it really lasts a long time. At least through 2 hand washings. When this tube is finished I will definitely be buying a replacement!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Bad... I used this once and loved the way my hands felt; soft and smooth. However, the strong, and to me repulsive smell almost made me sick. I had to wash my hands three times to get rid of the horrible smell and only then did my headache start to dissipate. Needless to say, I returned it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Only One Complaint I really liked this hand cream but getting it out of the tube is difficult. I cut open the tube and put it in a jar. Problem solved although it was a messy project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Miracle Love this stuff. My daughter in law gave me my first tube 17 years ago. I would not be without it. I have used it on my grandsons exema, my nephew’s contact dermatitis, rashes and, oh yes, my hands. I wont say it cures every skin problem but it works miracles on some. What other Gramdmother puts the small tube in her 8 year old grandsons bookbag and gets a smile and a hug from him. When it gets old, it will develop a stale smell as all natural oils and perfums will do. This might account for some customers not liking the smell. Wish it had a date on it. As to who to gift it too, anyone, male or female.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hand Healer Hands down, best chapped hand lotion for me. I have contact dermatitis and easily get chapped skin and this is the only lotion that soothes me quickly and it smells wonderful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Hand Cream I love this hand cream. My hands are very dry from being in water a lot. I have tried many hand creams which leave my hands feeling either too greasy or too sticky. Then, when I wash my hands afterwards there's a slimy feeling which causes me to have to wash my hands until there's no longer any trace of the cream. With L'Occitane Shea Butter hand cream, I use a pea size amount which is more than enough for both hands (I have small hands). A little bit goes a long way. I rub my palms together and then onto the backs of my hands working the cream down into my fingers and cuticles. Immediately, my hands feel and look softer. The cream is fully absorbed with no greasiness or stickiness. If you feel any greasiness then you may have used too much. Other reviewers have complained about the smell of this cream. I am highly sensitive to smells but this cream does not bother me at all. It smells like a cross between baby powder and a hint of lavender. The scent wears off in about 15 - 30 minutes. But if you don't happen to like either of these smells then you probably won't like this cream. I think this cream is highly absorbent and I don't need to reapply as often during the day as I would with other creams. This hand cream is a bit pricey, but as I'd mentioned, a little bit goes a long way making it cost effective. I've checked off that this cream would be a perfect gift for "best friends" because there wasn't an option for "anyone".
