Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Design Just bought the Artisan mixer and love it. But the pouring shield doesn't attach firmly at all to the bowl. It's my only complaint overall, but it's poorly designed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from USELESS!!! This attachment came with my 5qt artisan mixer, and I was so happy to have a pouring shield, that is, until I used it for the first time. It doesn't fit closely onto the bowl, so the space between the bowl and the shield causes flour and liquids to splash out. What a mess! This mixer is too expensive for Kitchenaid to not correct this issue. It is a very useful concept but this design is flawed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Came with my pro 600. The shield came with my KA Pro 600 I purchased on Friday. Doesn't stay on. One of the three attachments stays on. It seems two small for a 6 quart bowl.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor pouring shield I have tried to use this several times and as most other reviewers have written, it is useless. It will not stay on and the shoot is too shallow. I end up wit flour on the counter, all over the mixer, etc. Thought it might be me, but after reading the reviews, It is not. I would rate this as a “0” if I could.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn't Fit the Glass Bowl I bought my mixer on QVC. It is the big lift type with the really large glass bowl. I should have known that KitchenAide does not make this pour shield to fit the large glass bowl. Still, I find it messy to add ingredients when the bowl is in place and lifted to mix, especially dry ingredients. I can set the pouring shield on the edge, but it does not stay put and presents problems of its own due to not fitting my model. There needs to be a pouring shield made for the large glass bowl because I like that bowl and I like my model mixer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lousy function This "shield" does nothing! It is loose and has a huge opening so (in my case) the flour flies all over the place, anyways!! And, the "pouring" part is not long enough to allow you to pour anything in! What a waste of money! I am so angry!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Design This shield does not fit 6 quart lift. Very disappointed with quality. This does not meet the standards of Kitchenaid. I have a degree in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America and have always used Hobart and kitchenaid products - they have been known for their quality and dependability. This is a ridiculously simple problem to solve and judging by the comments above Kitchenaid has thumbed their noses at the consumer. Very disappointing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shield But the shield at the beginning of the year at an outlet store. So far it works great I just don’t like the fit of it around my bowl [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
