KitchenAid 5-qt Stand Mixer Glass Bowl is rated 2.1 out of 5 by 110.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bottom cracked on second use I wanted a Kitchen Aid for years, though my old mixer with a glass bowl was working fine and had for 20 years, and finally splurged on the Artisan model because of the glass bowl. Literally on the second use the bottom where it threads basically disintegrated when taking the bowl off. Is there a ceramic bowl for this model that is possibly sturdier and would last longer? I really do not want to have to get a metal bowl.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bowl broke almost instantly I bought this bowl in March 2021, I only used the bowl twice. The first time was fine, but the second time, I attached the bowl to the base and began mixing my dough. The bowl's base shattered instantly. I would maybe expect this from an off brand attachment. Not from a KitchenAid attachment. I'm very disappointed with the price I paid for only one successful use of this bowl.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke when removing from stand I love the look of this bowl. However, it has stuck in the stand after mixing. When trying to remove it, the base shattered.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I don't recommend (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The glass bowl is not safe, and it is broken easily. I had one which was broke while making dough for bread. And the new one I bought recently locked and opened hardly. It could be broken again and tearing my hands. It can cause safety problems.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chipped I received this bowl with my KitchenAid mixer. It’s heavy, awkward, and chipped. I wanted to send it back or get a replacement, but it came with the mixer. It was part of a special package deal. I ordered a new bowl for my mixer, which is pretty and way more functional. Next, I’ll be ordering a stainless replacement bowl. This glass one in going in the recycle bin.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design or materials - stay away! I bought this bowl 3 days ago. I use it once, put it in the dish washer and it chipped (from rubbing or contact with another dish? It's not clear). I don't remember the last time I chipped something. The problem is that it as a thin lip (to catch drips?), that wraps around the entirety of the bowl, and it is apparently extremely fragile. So either the glass needs to be stronger, or there should not be a lip. Extremely disappointed, I would give it 0 stars if I could.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible, bowl broke in two, I had this bowl for approximately a year. I used it maybe a handful of times as I am not an avid baker. One night I heard a loud noise coming from my cupboard, I opened it up to notice that the bowl had completely broke it two! And I wasn't even using it at the time!! Do not buy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Question on pouring shield accessory Looking for a pouring shield/splatter guard for my 5 qt glass bowl--mixer model KSM105GBCMC. Thin batters make a mess on kitchen cabinets! Is a shield made for this model?
