Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works just fine if you follow the directions... My daughter tried using it tonight and couldn't get it to work. I went to the kitchen, locked the cup in place, aligned the lid and pushed the button. Ta! Da! It worked just fine. If it's not properly aligned, it won't work. Then...she separated the two piece lid...smh. I put it backed together and it still works fine. It does require a little patience to get the hang of it. Five stars from me. I've had it for quite awhile and it's still working great. I've never separated the lid either. That was something new. Kitchen Aid appliances are top notch. My mixer is almost 30 years old.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Maybe this will help... I was surprised at all the negative reviews on this chopper...Maybe this will help some people. I could NOT get the chopper to work either. When all else fails, you ask your husband to step in to see what I was doing wrong. He placed the container on top of the base....like in 5 O'CLOCK position, then he turned the container to the 3 O'CLOCK position ( holding down on the base with his one hand as he was moving the container into the 3 O'CLOCK position with his other hand. ) The container THEN snapped into place, actually making a little click. When you put the lid on, pretty much just set it on top of the container in the 4 O'CLOCK position, then just slide it over into the 3 O'CLOCK position, ( it will be lined up perfectly with handle of the container. It will be somewhat tight until you do this a few times but it moves easier after a few times you use it. Where the indentation is for your thumb on the LID, is where you press to make the chopper work. I hope this helps!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great, really makes smooth creamy dressings I read the reviews here. I have to say at first I couldn't figure out how to turn it on. I know I should have read the instructions. However the knob on the top handle is how you control it. You have to press it up and down until you are done. There is no constant on button. It did work great. just like the larger blender you must make sure you turn the cup until it clicks and then seed the top until it click in place. It was so fast at creaming my Avocado Cream Dressing, just seconds! Love it. The lever at the bottom controls the blade speed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TERRIBLE! Took a while to remove the lid after thinking it was my fault. Then it wouldn't do anything after I turned on. Still thinking it was my fault I read instructions several times following the directions. I started reading the reviews and realized I had bought a piece of junk! Surprised at Kitchen Aid. Sending back asap!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best purchase ever I received my kitchen aid 5 cup food chopper and I love it. I have no idea where the negative reviews came from. You just have to make sure the food chopper is locked into the lock position or the food chopper wont turn on. It was wonderful for making dips on super bowl sunday. I absolutely would recommend this to someone looking for a food chopper.
